Mr. Smoothy vs. The Groovy Smoothie

Ben stood his ground against the dreadlock headed guy that was representing The Groovy Smoothie.

Mr. Smoothy vs. The Groovy Smoothie.

"You want a donut?" asked the guy.

Ben blinked a few times. "You represent a smoothie place, but you're selling donuts?" he asked, stupefied by something so stupid and naïve and not to mention lame.

"We also sell pickles."

Kevin just snickered, amazed that he had flown his jet all the way out to Seattle to see if this Groovy Smoothie place was as good as Ben's Mr. Smoothy. Of course, it was just a little challenge between the two. "Now let me think," he said, mulling over his thoughts. "I flew us all out here… for this?"

Ben nodded, not believing it himself. "Pickles too?'

He nodded enthusiastically.

"DO YOU EVEN HAVE ANY HALFWAY DECENT SMOOTHIES?"

"Blueberry Blitz!" he announced, still smiling like a total moron.

"Kevin?" asked Ben.

"Was it worth the trip?" asked the dark teen, snickering softly to himself while he got daggers in the form of a green glare from his redheaded girlfriend who had thought this road trip would be good for bonding between her and Kevin. Clearly, it wasn't.

"Kevin, can you please just take us home again?"

"I carry my pickles on the same stick as the donuts!" pointed out the happy Groovy Smoothie worker.

"Please, Kevin?" begged Ben.

"Nah…"

With a heavy, heartfelt sigh, Ben dragged himself to the counter. "Can I get a blackberry, vanilla, yogurt, and Snapple smoothie?" asked Ben, trying to muster what little confidence he had left in the world.

"Nope."

Ben turned on his heels and walked out the door. Kevin's laughter echoed in the room behind him.
