Winter Solstice: Not so alone
Nausicaa sat outside the steps of her house watching the moon, in her solitary celebration of the Winter Solstice. She had made a small stop by the party in the square, but didn't feel like staying herself. Instead she was here, alone.
Or so she thought. "Yo-ko, Naus," Tigerstar said, appearing from seemingly nowhere. "Hihi, Tiger," Naus said greeting him. "Why are you here," she asked, genuinely confused. Tigerstar looked at the moon, then back to Nausicaa. "I saw you leave, and I didn't want you to get lonely," Tigerstar said, matter-of-factly.
Nausicaa giggled. "But won't you be missed at the party," she asked. Tigerstar took a spot next to her, and shook is head. "Nope. It's all good. They can deal for a bit," he reasoned. He then looked at the moon. "So. Winter Solstice," he asked. Nausicaa nodded. "Yep. It's when the moon, is-" she stopped noticing Tigerstar had a blank expression on his face, as if saying, "I'm here to visit, even though I don't really understand."
"It's just a moon celebration," Nausicaa said. "Oh, speaking of which," Tigerstar pulled something from The Tote on his shoulder. "Here you go. I read a bit up on this thing, and got you this," he said handing her a moon cookie. Nausicaa took the cookie and smiled. "Let me guess, you thought you were gonna be spending this day all alone, right," Tigerstar joked. "Well, not under my leadership," he said with playful bravado. The Leader of the Emotes then yawned, and Nausicaa could tell he was tired. She hugged him, and said "Thank you, Tiger, but you should head home. I enjoyed your company." Tigerstar was set to object, but could see the meaning in her eyes. So, Tigerstar sighed, and set off for home, but called back, "Next year, you come see me, KK," and he was gone.
Nausicaa smiled and continued to observe the moon, feeling very happy on this night, and not so alone.
