Larimar sat in the shipping room waiting for an Agate to assign her to a ship. Her assistant stood patiently beside her and she tried her best not to make eye contact with her.
Moonstone was still mad about what Agate said to her and Larimar. She sat there quietly. She repeated stupid in her mind. Everyone hated her on homeworld except for Larimar.
An Agate approached her and gave her assistant a disapproving glare. She then turned to Larimar and picked up her clip board.
"Let's see. Are you Larimar XP3?"
Larimar nodded her head silently.
"One of Blue Diamond's certified Kindergarteners. Your assignment is to visit Earth and examine its characteristics, bring your information back to earth and report it to Blue Diamond so she can work on the chemical reactions when the cluster emerges. Does this sound familiar?"
Again, Larimar nodded her head.
"It does Holly Blue Agate DI7."
Holly's eyes moved to Moonstones and gave her a disgusted look.
"Is... THIS ONE... coming with you?"
She spat out the word "this one" like it was sticky gum she found under a table. Larimar was fuming but she continued to treat the Agate with undeserved dignity and respect. She cringed her face into a smile.
"Yes, Holly Blue."
She gave the agate a mean look back. This agate was a master at tourturing Moonstone. She was quiet the whole time.
The Agate glared at Larimar.
"It says in the report that no one else is to come with you. That inCLUDES HER."
Without even glancing the Agate flipped her pen toward Moonstone and smirked. Larimar felt beat.
"But... she IS my assistant. Surely I could take her along with me-"
"Larimar, the note specifies that the diamonds want NO ONE ELSE to tag along on the ride. We can't loose any gems that are not equipped for the mission. And let's be honest. A moonstone isn't gonna do you much good anyway."
She tapped her pen on Moons nose.
"Holly you must make an exception. I've never left her alone before-"
"LARIMAR. I have made my decision and my decision is FINAL. No other being will take a footstep in that ship. Now BOARD IT. Ta ta!"
The Agate walked away head held high and Larimar trudged into the ship sadly waving goodbye to Moonstone and taking off.
