The Plight of Persephone
By Pinkmoon
Darkness is everywhere
And I'm in despair
Without any sight
And nothing to give way to the night
I can't leave
And all I see
Are two blue eyes
That are embedded in my mind
And hair as black as the raven
A face that is clean-shaven
And robes of black and gray
That reminds me of a cloudy day
This is my captor, you see
Who claims he just loves me
Yet, I can't believe
Someone as dark as he
I miss my mother's love
Who dwells in the world above
And I miss the sun' light
That made my world so bright
I miss the fields
With flowers that covered the hills
But I'm surrounded by the Dead
And my heart is filled with Dread
My kidnapper, Hades
Says that I will rule this land call Hades
I'm to rule these shades?
I rather be made
To dwell in the Hephaestas
And yet I must
Be forced against my will
To marry this man and rule the land that makes me ill
And Hades, ruler of all this,
I will be force to kiss
And taste his cold lips
And have to feel his fingertips
I don't want this
I want to be with the ones I miss
And yet the death of my innocence
Isn't such a menace
But I'm afraid
Of the day
I completely become his
And rule all of this
