Darling,

Hello my name is Eleanor Moss, and this my story. I was the girl who girls wanted to be and the girl all the boys wanted, it seemed everyday a new boy was ringing me up telling I had struck his fancy. Well, every boy in this town, except the one I wanted, Jonesy. I've needed him since the day I first noticed him in the garden, the whole town went still and the sticky heat stopped long enough for our eyes to meet. It was the summer of 1953, June 16th to be exact. He was trimming the rose bush at the boarding house; he had deep chocolate eyes and milk chocolate skin. As you can tell he was quite different from me, I had auburn hair, rosy cheeks, and fair skin, dotted with freckles. You see I knew we could never be and that fact only was strong enough for me to weep at night. I waited for weeks for him to notice me or at least to hint at that he had felt the need for me as I did for him.

Finally, the wait was over, he left a note and rose for me in the stop he always sat for lunch, under the big oak whose branches provided the perfect amount of shade. All it said was to meet him at the old willow tree behind the old pharmacy at half past 11 this evening if I would like to make his acquaintance

That evening I found Jonesy on top of the hill, leaning against the willow, his silhouette enticing.

He sang a song as sweet as the honeysuckle that hung in the air.

The song was Down in the Meadow.

Jonesy and I talked for a while, our lips met a couple times, well until Frank, my brother gave me the sign then I plunged the demon blade into his heart. Both of our heart broke, but I had to live on. Our secret was safe now and I was the first women of letters. The secret had been hard to keep, especially from my brother. We were our only family; you a demon named Azazel killed our parents. Also there was more than one reason why I shouldn't have loved Jonesy.

He was demon by the name of Anza and the racial tension at the time made our love almost impossible. You see my brother and I were hunters.
