Making Michael Happy—A Drabble

A/N—Another in my "Drabble" series.

Michael Coldsmith-Briggs III, or "Archangel," as he was known to all but a specific few, had been happier the past few weeks than he'd been in a long time. One reason, of course, was the fact that his job as Deputy Director of the FIRM had been made much easier, now that Stringfellow Hawke's older brother Saint John had finally come home. Between that, and Stringfellow's recent marriage to Caitlin O'Shannessy, Michael felt like Hawke was an entirely different person. And I'm not the only one who noticed, Michael said to himself with a smile as he recalled Zeus mentioning Hawke's change in personality recently. And, Michael had convinced Zeus to allow Hawke, Cait, Saint John, and Dom to continue flying Airwolf for the FIRM, which had also helped to make dealing with Stringfellow Hawke more comfortable, and easier, for Michael—and that made him happy, as well. But, he said to himself as he opened his good eye and glanced at the woman in bed next to him, nothing makes me happier than...Marella. He smiled as Marella woke up and turned to him, and he said the words he'd wanted to say for so long: "Good morning, Mrs. Coldsmith-Briggs."
