(A/N) THIS IS A ONE-SHOT ONLY, I WILL NOT EXPAND! Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not, have not, and will not ever own Percy Jackson. I wish I did, because then Nico wouldn't be gay. He'd date Luna Lovegood.

Annabeth's Announcement

Annabeth and Percy had been married for five years, and the topic of children had never really come up. But, here she was, in the bathroom, clutching the cheap dollar store pregnancy test, waiting for results.

She, Annabeth Jackson née Chase, was scared. Oh, gods, she was so scared. Not for Percy's reaction, she knew he'd be happy, but because she had absolutely no idea how to take care of a kid.

Oh, Hades, how was she supposed to fight of monsters while she was pregnant!

The timer on her phone went off, alerting her that the test was finished. She looked down at it and frowned. What the Hades did the two little pink lines mean? She looked at the directions on the box that the test had come in to find out.

Well, this proves it. I'm pregnant. She thought.

Well, all that she had to do now was tell Percy, and her dad, as well as Percy's mother. Oh, gods, what would her mother do when she found out?

Or, if she found out. Hmm…

But then again, her mother was not one who was easily fooled. She was the goddess of wisdom, for Zeus's sake!

Annabeth sighed, threw the test in the trash, and walked into her bedroom. She'd figure that out when it came to it. It's not like her mother just popped over for visits, anyway. She rarely saw her since the Giant War.

Okay, she'd do it. She'd tell Percy tonight. They could work it out from there.

"Annabeth, you made the pasta blue!" Percy exclaimed when they sat down for dinner that night.

"Well, it is your favorite color," Annabeth began.

Percy frowned. "You never make blue food." He said. "Heck, you don't really even make food!"

Annabeth pursed her lips. "I was trying to lighten the mood."

"What mood? There isn't a mood."

Oh, Styx. "Percy," she said slowly, "I need to tell you something. Something very, very, important."

Percy leaned his head back against his chair, closed his eyes, and groaned. "Please tell me we're not going to war again." He moaned.

Annabeth gave a weak chuckle. "No, nothing like that." Okay, now's your chance to tell him. "Percy, I'm pregnant."

Percy stared at her blankly. "Come again?"

"I'm pregnant. There's a bun in my oven. Percy, we're going to have a baby." Annabeth said slowly.

There was a terrifying few seconds where Percy did nothing. Then a smile lit up his face. "I'm going to be a dad." He said excitedly.

Annabeth laughed, relieved. "Yes, Seaweed Brain, you're going to be a daddy."

In that moment she knew, no matter what happened, they were going to be okay. They would tell Paul and Sally, as well as her father and stepmother. Maybe they would tell Poseidon and Athena. All would be well.

Song time!

You're so stupid, think now

If we blow him up into smithereens

We may lose some pieces

And the Jack will beat us black and green
