Edit: Fixed the mess I made when copy/pasting from Google Docs
I felt like writing fanfiction of Pokespe. So here we are.
My writing skills are slipping. I remember the days when I could actually write.
AU : Villainspe
"Morning!" He calls. His black hair (and that scar) is barely hidden under the blue bandanna, marked with a familiar white symbol. A new vest, she notes. He's perched on an oak tree, elegant as always, and he's smiling a smile that doesn't reach his icy crimson eyes.
Sapphire scowls at him. "You are such an eccedentesiast," she grumbles, and tries to project her disdain with her azure eyes.
He rolls his eyes, momentarily dropping his insincere grin. He's heard it enough times to know what it means - someone who hides behind a smile, when really they just want to hide and die. "The word is simperer."
Sapphire muses that he looks like his father when he drops that stupid smile.
He jumps down from the tree, landing lightly like a cat, and flicks at her ash brown hair. "Don't try to sound smart - it just makes you sound even more like an idiot."
She bats away his gloved hand - that germaphobe - and huffs. "I'm the daughter of a professor - shouldn't I try to sound smart?"
"The 'daughter of a professor' shouldn't be a Magma admin, ha ha ha." The saccharine smile of his comes back, that sugary sweet smile that radiates nothing but loathing.
Sapphire smacks him over the head. "I told you, that's supposed to be secret, Aqua scum," She drawls.
His plastic smile cracks again. She relishes in the satisfaction, then Sapphire is reminded of that quote she heard once - hate doesn't ebb, it multiplies.
Some people once wondered if they were in love. They were not. Once upon a time, Sapphire had an unrequited love towards him. Not anymore. It was gone, and hate took its place.
She changes the subject. "So, why are you here?"
"Do I need a reason?" He teases. His light, yet obviously fake voice reminds her of the time they spent together so many years ago.
She pulls her red hood lower over her eyes. "We're trying to be serious here. You know as well as I do that our relationship is finished."
He raises an eyebrow, but relents. "Aqua wants to compromise."
She doesn't want to, but before she can protest, she's pulled into a whirlwind of business and negotiations.
