Disclaimer: I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender. I am not making any profits off of this-here paragraph.

A/N: This was just a descriptive paragraph that I wrote for English class in late 2005 or early 2006. Too short, but I liked it. If you can find anything to say about it, please funnel that into a review!

The Last of the Airbenders

Aang stood atop a rocky crag, deep in the Potola Mountain Range. He gazed around at the breathtaking beauty of the wilderness. As far as the eye could see, rugged peaks stood out starkly against the sky. Their snow-capped tops, glittering in the dying sunlight, were so numerous they were nearly uncountable. And in the center of it all stood the Southern Air Temple. It was perched partway up a steep slope of ice, but somehow, it looked natural . . .like it belonged there. The structure was decorated with intricate carvings and amazing statues; they were the only remaining legacy of the Airbending monks. The entire scene should have filled him with awe, but he barely saw it. All the people who had once made their home here were gone. His family, friends, teachers . . . everyone he had known and loved . . .dead, never to return. His grief swept over him. Katara and Sokka were right. He really was the last Airbender.
