Hey everyone, I am back with a new fic.
This story is set right after Titan's Curse.
Stop reading if you have not yet read the third installment in the percy jackson and the olympians series.
A few notes:
I am expecting this to be a multi-chapter story
I do not own percy jackson and the olympians series.
Before you read I want you to take a long breath through your nose and exhale for an even longer time through your mouth.
The Mission
It began to rain while I was sitting there on the beach, sand running through my hands. I stared at the ocean. The beach reminded me of all the times my mother and I went on vacation. Oh gods, I missed her. It was tremendously overcast; I looked at the horizon, and grey met the point where blue ended. This was a rarity for camp, considering that the old magic did not let any type of weather through.
There was only one thought on my mind: Luke's army would be here soon; as soon as he regroups he will be stronger then ever before.
That traitor.
How stupid was I? I was his friend, until he tried to kill me…oh, say just a couple of times. I grabbed a large amount of sand and squeezed it as if it were a stress ball.
After telling Nico the fate of his sister, I went into a funk. I…I just wished I could have been in her place…I...wish…I wish I could have changed a lot of things. I wish we could have saved Zoë, I wish that Luke hadn't crossed over to help Kronos, I wish my dad… would...oh, never mind.

I thought I smelled coffee, which then reminded me that I had to go pack for my new mission. Pan, the ancient god of the wild and nature told Grover three words, 'I await you'. I should have been excited for this mission, as Grover and Annabeth were, but I just couldn't.
I got up and headed back to the cabin to pack. I packed plenty of clothes, money, golden drachmas, hygiene items, etc. Both Annabeth and I had already told our parents about the urgent mission. Both parents were disappointed, but they thankfully they understood. After I packed my bag, I made my way over to the Big House, where Chiron, Annabeth and Grover were waiting. When I got there, they all greeted me and the meeting began.
"Well, as you know, you will be leaving tomorrow at first light in your search for pan," said Chiron. "We have just a little problem, we have no clue where he is. Also, I am only letting you three leave, because I want as many half bloods at the camp as possible, in case we have to defend ourselves.
We grunted in agreement.
"I was thinking," replied Annabeth, "The Oracle might be able to shed some light on this."
"Alright, you heard her, Grover, thank you for volunteering to go first." I said.
"WHAT! I do not want to go up in that creepy attic all alone!" Grover protested.
Then Chiron said, "Oh, come on, she won't bite…well maybe just a bit…but hey! It won't hurt that bad." Chiron gave him a small push toward the stairs, and Grover reluctantly walked up them. As for me, I have had enough with prophecies, I refuse to hear mine.
After five to ten minutes, Grover came back down the stairs with a horrified expression on his face. Stunned, he managed to speak a few words:
"Arcadia, Greece, P-Pan, is t-there."
Apparently that wasn't the only thing the Oracle said.
Sorry guys I know its short, I wrote this when I was in a funk of my own. I promise better chapters in the future.
Once again, I am expecting this to be a multi-chapter fic so check back every 3-4 days. (I usually update that fast : )
Please R&R! (I'm not sure if I should keep going...)
