A/N: Okay! just to let everyone know this is my FIRST fanfiction and I'm VERY(!) nervous about putting it up so if you don't like it no flames please? Although any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated , as are reviews in general. Okay now to notes on the story A: To my great dismay I do not own anything of or affliated with Twilight pouts B: In this story "my" Bella is a bit off as far as comparison to the Bella Swan of Twilight. C: This is only the start of the story. I had planned on just doing this as a one shot, but I had a creative overload. So, "IF" I get enough requests I'll post the rest later. Okay that's everything I think. lol

Life's Unexpected Joys

I sighed in contentment as the rays of the sun kissed my skin and danced off the prism in Edward's. Life has truly gotten good. It would be so much better after I am changed into a vampire and am guaranteed forever with him, but for now this is more than enough. For now, I'm just going to sit here in our meadow with the love of my life. Yes, life really has gotten good.

"Umm… I love you, Edward." I said slowly as I opened my eyes and sat up on my elbows on his chest to admire the beauty of the sparkling god beneath me.

"I love you, too, Bella," he sighed. "What could I have ever done so right as to earn your love… your beauty… your perfection?" he asked with smoldering eyes and a voice made over the finest of velvets.

"Edward, as much as your comment flatters me," pink blush crept to my cheeks with each word I spoke, "I'm far from beautiful and even farther from perfect. Second, you deserve more than my pathetic existence, even if I were your equal as a vampire, could ever give." His liquid topaz eyes bored into my very soul and how I managed to form a coherent and intelligible sentence will forever be a mystery to me.

Those eyes, though they were soft, now held such a seriousness and hints of pain that I was captivated and no matter how hard I was to try I could not look away.

"Bella, I would rather not argue right now, especially over something so petty. However, you have never seen yourself very clearly. The thoughts of every perverse, teenage male the first time you walked into the cafeteria only support my claim on your physical beauty," he chuckled faintly.

"You are beautiful and perfect not only in the physical sense of the words but also in that your selflessness, lack of vanity, will, determination, and intelligence never cease to amaze me. Though you say you are undeserving of me, I am the one who will never be adequate, or even close for that matter, of your love. Never let anyone tell you different." His eyes burned with such a passion, intensity, and he conveyed that in his every word.

"Edward…" His lips attacking mine with a passion reserved only for special occasions or his absence cut me off.

When he finally pulled away we were both, surprisingly, panting. I momentarily laid my head down on his chest rising and falling as his breathing slowed. I sat up again when I could speak.

"Edward, I love you with all of my heart. All of my love, all of my being, you have it all. Your's and Your's alone." He leaned up and kissed me tenderly.

"I love you, Bella. Can I ask you something?'

"Yes, of course."

He shifted until I was sitting on the blanket while he was on one knee in front of me.

"Edward… what are you…"I was again cut off, but this time by his finger on my lips and not his lips on mine.

"Shh… Let me finish, then you can talk." I nodded, so he continued. "You already know that I love you dearly, so I was wondering if we could make it official." He reached in his back pocket and pulled out velvet colored box and my eyes started to get teary. "Bella you would make me the happiest man alive if you would marry me."

"Oh Edward! Yes! Yes! Yes!" I lunged at him, wrapped arm my arm around his neck, and cried on his shoulder.
