The Right Time

A/n: I really don't like Emily since she broke up a perfectly good relationship that Sam and Leah had, but you have to admit she came in at the right time. In this one-shot, She has a talk with Sam about this. I hope you enjoy this.

This is in Emily's POV

I had heard from someone that Sam still cared for Leah. It doesn't surprise me that Sam still care for her. After all, they were first loves to one another and they were never going to forget each other. But I don't think Sam realizes that I came at a good time. Even though he never realize it.

Tonight, I would talk to him and make realize that I came at right time in his life.

As I made dinner for us, he came in. He came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"You know I love you, right?" He murmured in my ear. I stopped doing what I was doing and place a hand on top of his.

"Yeah, I know," I said as I went back to what I was doing. I finished dinner. We sat down and ate it together. Usual we talk while eating dinner, but things were tense now with Jacob splitting from the pack and Leah and Sam following in his place.

And of course Sam was upset because Leah left. After finish dinner, I clean the table.

"Sam, could I talk with you a moment?" I said as I put the dishes in the sink. I sat back down at the table and waited for his answer.

"Sure," He said as he pulled out the chair again and sat back down again. "What about?"

"Leah," I said. Sam flinched.

"I understand that you still care for her, Sam," I said as I looked at the man I love.

"Yeah, but you know I will never act upon it," he said.

"Yes, I know that. The reason I want to talk about is the time, Sam," I commented.

"The time?" he echoed.

"The time that we met," I said. Sam flinched and I also flinched. That time was horrible. He and myself had hurt Leah very bad and cause her to change to a bitter woman. But fate choose me to be with Sam and him for me. I try to fight him off, but one day, he got so out of control and attacks me. And the price was the scar that I carried on my face.

"We could have met later you know," I said, " and then you would have probably left her at the altar."

"No!" he yelled as he abruptly stands up.

"Don't lie. You could have met me when she had your first child. See, Sam, you don't realize that you left at the best time you could have. I know it's wrong of me to say something about it, but you just don't realize it," I said as tears came to my eyes. "I love you, Sam. I really do."

"Oh Emily," he said as he sat back down. "I love you too, and you are right. I suppose I imprinted on you at right time. I can't stand having Leah hate me and you more than she does now."

"I can't either, but we both have to deal with it," I said as I got up and sat beside him. He wrapped a hot arm around me and pulls me close. I put my face in his neck and we held each other. I pulled back and looked at him.

"And I want you to know if anything happen happens to me," I started.

"Nothing will," he vowed.

"Let me finish. I want you to know if anything happens to me, you are allowed to move on, especially if it's Leah," I said as I looked into his black eyes.

"Oh Emily. You are kind and compassionate. That's I love about you. Right now, I wouldn't trade you in for the world," He breathed as he nuzzled the top of my head.

"I know, Sam. Now I guess I better clean the dishes," I said as I got up. When I walked away, Sam grabbed my wrist.

"Thanks, Emily. For making me realize that I left Leah at the right time," he said.

"You are welcome," I said with a Smile.

A/N: Okay, I am not saying that Sam was right for leaving Leah in the first place. I'm a big fan of the Sam/ Leah pairing. I am just saying that he left at the right. Could you imagine the pain if Sam left her at the altar? Or when she was having their first child? If you think she is bitter now, she would probably be way worse. I hope you enjoy this one-shot. Tell me what you think.
