A Fool Or Not A Fool
A 'Fool of a Took' he calls me
Invisible it makes me want to be
I wish I may, I wish I might
But, as always, I am, still, in his sight
I try to change, really I do
Yet he treats me as something scraped off a shoe
Why does he still treat me this way
Always to the Valar I pray
Unobtrusiveness I try to maintain
Yet it always seems to be in vain
How can it be, he always manages to see
The bad that must be welling within me
A 'Fool of a Took' he calls me
Invisible it makes me want to be
I wish I may, I wish I might
But, as always, I am, still, in his sight
I try to change, really I do
Yet he treats me as something scraped off a shoe
Why does he still treat me this way
Always to the Valar I pray
Unobtrusiveness I try to maintain
Yet it always seems to be in vain
How can it be, he always manages to see
The bad that must be welling within me
