I was listening to the song "Low Lays the Devil" from the show and the song "Devil in Me", and this idea popped into my head. This story is also published on my writing blog if you wish to give that a read. As usual, reviews make me happy, and flames can deal with my OC!

A shell of a body lies on the cold concrete floor. His eyes were devoid of life. People might say that he got what he deserved. After all, he did commit a crime. Prison walls weren't going to hold him for long. No, he deserves punishment for what he has done. I suppose you could deduce that Death had come for his soul for those of you who believe in that sort of thing, but no it wasn't my sister this time. It was me, the Devil himself.

Detective Decker and I had caught a case that involved a serial killer that targeted innocent young women. He would lure them by making them think that he's Prince Charming. He told them that he would love them like they should be loved and that he would do anything for them as long as they stay by his side. The women, in turn, believed his every word. I was furious that such a thing would happen to all these beautiful women. I mean, he could've left a couple of them for Maze and me. Selfish bastard.

We questioned the people that knew him. From his estranged parents to a few acquaintances. They all said that he wasn't the manipulative type. That he was a kind person that everyone loved. What a bunch of hogwash! I thought as I sat beside Detective Decker in the interrogation room as she questioned the killer's acquaintance. I worked my Devil powers on a few of the people that we interrogated, but none of them gave anything useful beyond their dull desires to make the world a better place. Oh, gag me with a fucking spoon already!

Soon after the acquaintance left, an officer came in with an update on the evidence found at the scene. It turns out that our little charmer is careless. He keeps something that belonged to each woman, a piece of jewellery or clothing, in a box in his closet. The CSU has found evidence of each of the victims in it, thus convicting him of the crime. A Cheshire Cat grin spread across my face as I bid farewell to Detective Decker, stating that I'm going to pay the killer a visit.

I asked Maze to track down the killer and bring him to the club. When she returned, she informed me that the man has been hogtied and is ready for me. I thanked her and proceeded to make my way downstairs. When I arrived at the club, I saw the poor sod tied up with thick rope. Oh, Mazikeen, you do like your rope don't you? I thought as I approached the killer.

"So you're the one who's been killing all those women," I said as I pulled him up from the floor and into a wooden chair. I then ripped off the tape across his mouth, and he replied, "Yeah, what if I am? Who wants to know?" He asked with a glare. I then got into his personal space and said in a whisper, "The Devil in me." His screams echoed through the room as I showed him my real face and sent his tainted soul to the deepest part of Hell.

End.
