Merry Christmas Callie

So yeah this is a one shot I wrote about Callie's first Christmas, I hope you like it.

Callie woke up Christmas morning unsure of what was going to happen that day. Last Christmas she was in juvenile detention, her past foster homes either didn't celebrate Christmas or they didn't include her and Jude into the festivities. She had a strange feeling that this Christmas was going to be different because the Fosters were, well, different from her other foster families she and Jude had lived with, and that was a good thing. Callie noticed that Mariana was already out of bed, looking at her alarm clock she saw that it was only eight o'clock in the morning, damn that girl loved Christmas.

Callie closed her eyes again, wondering if she should follow Mariana's lead and go downstairs. Before she could decide on what to do she heard a soft knock on the bedroom door. She opened her eyes to see Brandon standing in the doorway.

"Hey, uh, sorry if I woke you, moms sent me up here to get you; everyone is really excited to start opening presents. Especially Jude, he said something about not remembering the last time he got a real Christmas present." Brandon stopped talking; now he was just standing awkwardly in the doorway.

"Yeah, uh, last year I was in Juvie, the years before Jude and I were ignored in homes that did celebrate Christmas, in others it was just a normal day. I never had any money to buy Jude a present either so…." Callie trailed off, Brandon had a sad look in his eyes but before he could say anything Callie continued.

"Well I am glad that Jude has presents this year, that was nice of your moms, I will be down in a minute." Brandon nodded and turned to go, he paused at the doorway.

"You have presents too you know, you deserve them, you and Jude deserve to be happy."

"Really? That was nice of them, really nice. I will be down in a minute." Brandon nodded and went downstairs without another word. Callie got up and threw on a sweatshirt over her t-shirt; she was already wearing an old pair of sweatpants.

"Well finally!" said a very impatient Mariana as Callie emerged in the living room where the family, tree and several piles of presents were. Stef smiled at Callie.

"Good morning Callie! Merry Christmas!" Callie smiled

"Merry Christmas." Callie said back.

"Well as you can see the presents are organized into piles depending on whom they are for. That was Mariana's doing she was down here at seven this morning, a rarity for her, only happens once a year." Continued Stef

"Yes, yes I love Christmas! Callie your pile is in between Brandon's and Jude's." Callie looked at Jude who was just staring at his presents, almost as if he blinked it would all go away. Callie walked over and hugged Jude, whispering to him.

"Merry Christmas Jude."

"Merry Christmas Callie", Jude whispered back. Out of the corner of her eye Callie saw Brandon smile. Mariana couldn't take it anymore and asked who got to open first.

"Youngest goes first, those are the rules, go ahead Jude!" said Lena, who was sitting on the couch with Stef.

After all of the presents were opened and a lot of fun and laughter was shared, Callie walked over to Stef and Lena

"Thank you so much for all of this, really, I never thought that Jude and I would get to have a real Christmas. Thank you." Lena and Stef both gave Callie a hug, then Lena told her something

"We hope that we will get to share many more Christmas's with you Callie, how would you feel if we adopted you and Jude?" Callie was shocked

"Thank you! Are you sure?"

"We're sure" confirmed Lena

"Merry Christmas Callie!" said Stef.
