The arms of sorrow embraced her as a sharp pain ripped across her stomach. She did not know how she had got like this, only that she should have stopped pretending that everything was alright a long time ago.
As the waves of pain ripped through her she found that the only thing that would distract her were the memories of the last few years, the ones she had tried so hard to stop, now they were the only thing she wanted.
She thought of the battle, of her world being torn apart, her brother being ripped from their family. Many people she knew and loved being killed, it had been difficult, at points too difficult and she had always found it hard to confide in people and now she pushed people away more than ever.
She moaned softly as the pains ripping across her stomach increased, she tried to delve farther into her memories, to get farther away from her present, going back a year in her past.
One year and three days earlier.
"Gin, get back here, c'mon Gin" Harry panted as he ran across the field. "Gin! I love you, Gin, it was a one off, I didn't mean any of it! Promise. She meant nothing absolutely nothing!"
"I bet you didn't tell her that, I bet when you screwed her you didn't tell her that" Ginny half screamed and half sobbed.
It had been like being shot to find out that Harry had been cheating on her but what was worst that it was with her, the her that was meant to be one of Ginny's best friends.
"Gin, it was a one off, it was just sex. It means nothing"
"So, Harry, did our sex mean nothing? I gave up my virginity to you, and I bet the whole time you were sleeping with that slag, with...with...with...Luna. And you say she meant nothing to you, yes I hate Luna right now, but that's not even fair on her. Harry I hate you, I never want to speak to you again"
"Gin, don't be unreasonable" Harry called.
At this Ginny face turned the flaming red colour of her hair, if there was one thing she couldn't stand it was being called unreasonable when she knew that that was nowhere near the case.
"ME!? Unreasonable? Have you looked in your mirror lately Saint Potter? You are the unreasonable one, you! Now just fuck off and leave me alone, I don't need you and my family doesn't need your cheating, lying arse around here either. So do us all a favour and go, you may have saved the wizarding world but you have hurt me, so just leave me alone."
Ginny sprinted at this point in the direction of the stream, she knew that Harry was a fast runner but Ginny had always been quicker than him and knew she would lose him easily, growing up with six brothers had prepared her well for situations such as these.
She turned around and looked once more, Harry was just standing there, a resigned look on his face. This, if it was possible, made her more angry, how dare he just stand there? Did she not mean more to him? Obviously not.
She ran quickly through the fields after that, not stopping until her muscles seized up and she fell to the floor, letting out tears that she had not even known she had.
Crying was not something that she did, she was Ginevra Weasley, her brothers had always taught her not to cry, in fact all of them cried more than she did.
In that moment an emotion she had not known she had rose in her, it was strange, and this emotion wanted revenge.
She wanted to get Harry back in every way possible and she would, she would. She knew that she could destroy him if she wanted to and that was exactly what she was going to do.
