I've always had this feeling that Aviva, Jimmy, and Koki are only children. Maybe it's because I'm an only child myself. And what's this? A new fanfic only a few days after I finished the last one? I guess the new Wild Kratts episodes and finishing school got me inspired. ;) Enjoy!
It was a beautiful Saturday morning as Aviva woke up in the Tortuga. She stretched, quietly put on her purple bathrobe as to not disturb Koki, then went to the main room and started a pot of coffee. She noticed that Chris and Martin's creature power suits and creature pods were missing. Aviva rolled her eyes and shook her head as she knew the two brothers were off doing who knows what. She decided to call them to see what kind of shenanigans they were up to.
"Morning, Aviva!" the brothers said in unison.
"Hi guys! I see you're taking full advantage of our trip to Indonesia," Aviva noted as she saw they were in their orangutan creature power suits.
"Yeah, we haven't seen Huge-O and his crew in a long time!" Chris said.
"So we figured as long as we were in the Indonesian rainforest, why not say hi!" Martin continued.
"Alright. Don't get into too much trouble, okay?"
"We'll try, but no promises," Martin laughed. "Bye!"
As the call ended, Koki entered the main Tortuga room as well.
"Morning, Aviva."
"Hey, Koki."
"Are Chris and Martin out early getting into their usual brother mischief?"
"You know it," Aviva said as the two laughed.
"Isn't it strange two brothers that are so close managed to become friends with three only children?" Koki said.
"Yeah, that is an amazing work of fate. The universe gave us the perfect way for us to get to know what having a sibling is like."
"Do you ever get jealous of them and the bond they have?" Koki wondered.
"Sometimes," Aviva confessed. "But everything has its advantages and disadvantages. There are times when being an only child is amazing."
"Yeah, no need to share a room or any of your other stuff," Koki started listing off.
"No sibling for people to constantly compare you to."
"More private time to yourself."
"And there's probably more," Koki said with a wink. "But yeah, you're right," she continued. "And not only that, I'd say all five of us have gotten quite close as well. I think we're just as much family to them as they are to each other."
"Agreed! I guess we're all 'siblings' in a way," Aviva said.
The two then turned to the Tortuga doors as they heard Jimmy walk in.
"Hey, heard you two chatting. What's up?" the redheaded pilot wanted to know.
"We're just talking about the bros and how we're all each other's siblings, even if the three of us don't have any."
"Ah. Yeah, we share things, we bicker, we make fun memories together… sounds like siblinghood to me!" Jimmy confirmed.
"Well, there's more to siblinghood than that," Martin said with a laugh as he and Chris entered.
"But you've got the gist of it," Chris continued laughing along with his brother.
"That's good enough for me," Jimmy said leaning back on his chair.
"We may not have grown up with siblings like the two of you, but we've all gotten to work together on the Wild Kratts Team," Aviva observed.
"And though we can't know for sure," Koki continued, "I have a feeling that comes pretty close."
