Chapter 1: A New Beginning
Our story begins in a small village known as Twingston; it is here a trainer was born and raised knowing nothing of the world outside of the gates of her village, Annabel was only 12 years old and she was just itching to see what the world held; she dreamt of the day she would be able to get her first pokemon and leave this old village behind, "That isn't fair!" Shouted a strong but screechy voice which bellowed through the house, "Please Annabel calm down and let me explain" An old man sat in an old wooden chair, his long snow white beard pressed against his large belly; his voice was deep and soothing, "Annabel you must understand I only want what's best for you, you are still too immature to handle a pokemon" the old man said softly rubbing his beard as he looks down with worry.
"Chief please, let me show you that I'm ready" Annabel begged Chief Woodson her long golden blonde hair fell over her shoulders and along her back; she wore a black long sleeved shirt with a heart on the front and a bright pink skirt, "Child you have tried multiple times, remember that time you tried to help the lumberjacks by borrowing my Pawniard and cutting down trees, but ended up cutting the wrong side of the trees and nearly crushed three men?" Chief Woodson said with an annoyed tone to his voice as he looked right into Annabels eyes, "Chief that was an accident! You know I didn't try and harm them... they just didn't tell me where to cut" Annabel said slowly looking down at her feet with a tears starting to bead up in her eyes, "Don't you try and win me over using your tears, I am not changing my mind on this no matter what you decide to pull" Chief Woodson said now glaring at Annabel.
"Fine! Be that way" Annabel said crying as she stormed off up the stairs to her room; all was calm for a while but Annabel was still bitter about the fight, she just kept thinking about running away and traveling the world, suddenly a thought hit her like a Snorelax using bodyslam; maybe she could she could easily sneak into the Cheifs' cabinet where he keeps all the young pokemon he gives the trainers that just start their journey, if she could just sneak in there and grab just one Pokeball she would be home free and she could leave, a few hours go past and she decided she'll show the Chief and everyone in the village that she would be able to be an amazing Pokemon trainer.
Annabel quickly packed a bag full of spare clothes, some snacks and a sleeping bag and hurried downstairs into the Chiefs office, Annabel opened the large oak door to reveal a dimly lit large office; it was a musky old room that smelt of old man and books, there were bookshelves lining the walls with books on many different things, mainly Pokemon and how to raise them, Annabel quickly and quietly snuck over to the cabinet where she saw a bunch of Pokeballs and slowly opened the cabinet door; she didn't have time to look at which Pokemon there were so she just quickly grabbed a ball and shut the cabinet door and quickly made her way outside and to the gates of her village, looking back and what she was leaving behind made her very uneasy but still excited for what she will find beyond this forest.
