Kanda's birthday
Water drops fell to the ground one by one. It was raining. People hided in their houses to keep themselves warm and dry, bur their mood mirrored the weather. Just few being was happy when it was raining, and it happened a lot in London. I mean the rain.
Nothing was different in the Black Order either. Everybody was crabby or even angry. But only one of them was sad. Really sad. And it was an exorcist, one which should not show emotions, but while he hided them well, he had feelings. Sadly today's dominant emotion was sorrow for him.
He sat outside under the heavy and dark clouds, while icy drops fell onto him like little knives. He didn't move or make any sounds, just let himself feel that emotion at last. Why would he want that? Like every one of them, this question has an answer too.
Today was his birthday. The day when he climbed out of that fucking hole, and started his cursed life. He won lot of things, but he had lost much more, and now he is alone.
Somehow he hoped that this year would be different. That somebody would come to him and show him how a birthday should be celebrated, like how it went with the others in the Order. But nobody came, and the rain just fell and washed the ground and his cheeks.
First he didn't understand himself. Wasn't that what he wanted all the time? Be left alone? Maybe. But people change and he wasn't an exception. After that year so many things happened and he couldn't resist against them. So, in the end, he slowly started to feel, need and want.
But it seemed not to be enough. So, he was left alone, like the other years. And he was sad. His hopes were crashed and another wall was built around his soul. Just like in the other years. Furthermore the weather decided to turn his back on him too, like saying "Here you go! This is what you deserve!" he accepted the 'gift'.
So he sat there on a bench waiting for the end of the cursed day. But it was so fucking slow!
"Baka!" he jumped a little. He lifted his eyes slowly. He sat his back turned to the Building of the Order, so he could just stare at his own shadow, his and someone else's too. He moved to face with the other. The usually angry glance was missing from his dark blue eyes. It was Lavi with a frown on his face.
"What are you doing, Baka?" he spoke up again. The boy motioned around with one arm.
"I think it's obvious." He replied. Lavi rolled his single green eye.
"I didn't mean that. Being exact WHY are you there?" The exorcist thought maybe he saw concern in the boy's green eye. Bull shit!
"Why shouldn't I be here?" he asked back. Lavi smiled, but shook his head. He stretched out his hand towards the other, with a brighter grin.
"Come with me, Moron!" he wanted to protest, and he did, really, but it felt good to be with somebody. So, he just let himself be dragged into the building.
"Aren't you hungry? I'm kinda hungry." Lavi babbled happily. While the other just shrugged.
"Do as you whish." So Lavi pulled him towards the canteen, but before entering, the red head stepped behind him.
"You go first!" he ordered. He raised his eyebrow below his dark blue eyes.
"Why would I?" he asked suspiciously. Lavi just grinned.
"Because I asked you to." with that he pushed his friend into the place, and then…
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY? YUU!" Yuu! Not Kanda! But now he didn't give a damn. Just stared at the huge crowd in front of him. Holly shit! He opened his mouth and closed, than he repeated the movement again and again. Like a fish. Few second passed while the others were waiting. Oh, he should say something? Err….
"Thank you…" he whispered with wide eyes. After few minutes he found himself in the circle of his friends who celebrated just him. No one other. It was him who was important. And that was new. Very new.
His sadness was shattered by hope and happiness. He didn't want this day to end ever.
Happy birthday Yuu!
