All around people bustled, they had no eyes but they didn't seem to mind. Smiles adorned their faces, laughter and happy chatter filled the air. It was hard not to be happy at the amusement park, not to have fun. But for Pierce it was hard to smile, knowing what he knew, he couldn't have fun. Even if he tried. He had a job to do and that was to clean up the mess that Eliot would leave for him. It was his job as the new undertaker for the mafia. All he had to was wait for the sign.
This was Pierce's first job but he knew what he had to do. With a new resolve he determinedly watched for Eliot's sign. Casually people walked this way and that, paying no mind to Pierce or a young pink haired boy. He was a little older than Pierce, pink cat ears stood at attention on his head while a tail waved boredly behind him. He leaned against a wall, seeming almost disinterested with all that went on around him, until he noticed Pierce. His ears twitched curiously and then he grinned. That grin made Pierce's stomach sink. Hastily he looked away, acting as if he had never even glanced over at the cat.
"Hey there, rat." a voice greeted making Pierce jump.
"Uh I-I wasn't staring at you or a-anything." Pierce stammered, his joints locking, instincts screaming for him to run. The cat snorted,
"I'm Boris, what's your name?"
"P-Pierce." he looked away again and noticed Eliot walking towards one of the park exits. "I have to go, sorry!" with that he bolted away.
"Where do you think you're going!" Boris called, chasing after the mouse, "I'm feeling kind of hungry, you should come back."
"No! Stay away from me." Pierce cried, his job forgotten, a more pressing matter had taken its place. And that was not being eaten.
