You were running. You couldn't breathe. Were they still behind you? You were too scared to look. You kept on running forward. You think you hear a scream. Did you just hear a scream? You were running out of breath. And you were afraid you were going to die.
These were the things you were thinking while you ran from the black sand that chased you. But then it stopped. The sense of danger was gone. But why? You stopped and turned around; half expecting a black horse to be there, half expecting to see nothing. But you were wrong. There wasn't a black horse in front of you, or even nothing. Instead, there was a small, fat, orange man in front of you.
He reminded you of the black sand, but he was different. Instead of being made up of a black sparkly substances, it was orange. And you felt...safe around him. He didn't say anything. All he did was snap his fingers and you woke up.
Wow! What a weird dream.
Then you saw him. The man from your dreams was at the edge of your bed. But not the one that controlled the darkeness. The one that made it all go away.
"W-what's your name?" No answer.
"Can you talk?" He shook his head no.
"Well, I guess I'll have to guess. How about Orangy?" No response. "Umm, Crazyhair? No. Sandman?" Then his face lit up like a lightbulb. "That's perfect! I can call you sandy for short!" You exlaim.
Then your alarm clock goes off. Ring! Ring! Ring! 6 o'clock. Then Sandy frowns as if the sudden noise bothered him.
"Sorry. I'll turn it off." You say as you walk over to your nightstand and turn of the alarmclock. When you turn around Sandy's gone.
Where did he go?
You don't have the slightest idea where and how he left.
"(y/n)! Come down and get ready for school!"
Uh! Mom. Here comes another horrible day of my life.
"One sec mom! I have to check something!"
School again. Fun!
"Pluto is no longer a planet..."
Who cares about Pluto! Why can't we learn something actually worth my attention?
"Now off of the subject of Pluto. There have been myths of the Man in the Moon since ancient times. Now there have been many books and movies written off of the myth of the Man in the Moon. Now your assignment for the weekend is to find and write an essay about of these stories or movies."
"What! We have homework on the weekend!?" Your classmates complain.
Finally! Something worth my attention!
When you got home you started searching for Sandy but could not find him. Maybe he knew something about these moon myths.
"Where did you go sandy? I can't find you anywhere," you asked yourself.
Then you saw the orange sand that belongs to Sandy as it went by your bedroom window.
How?
"Sandy!? Come back! Where did you go?!"
Then the little chubby guy came back and stopped in front of your window. You opened the window and let him in. He had an orange exclamation mark over his head.
"Sandy? What does that mean?"
Then he swiftly takes your hand and flys you somewhere unknown.
