Annabeth frowned at the commotion as she struggled to plow through the throng of people. What were they looking at? And why were most of them squealing girls? Oh no, she thought, not Blakely Hammer making another one of his stupid performances. But no the crowds were thick even for him; Blakely was a regular on the campus. These girls were ogling something new.

"Ohmygawd. Look at him!"

"His eyes, his hair!"

"So hot!"

"Do you think he'll give me a ride on the motorcycle?"

Motorcycle? Annabeth blinked. No way. As if he weren't boy-candy already, Percy had bought a motorcycle? It couldn't be him could it?

She pushed through and spotted Chelsea, Blakely's back-stabbing, duplicitous, cheating, cold-fish of a girlfriend. Annabeth hated her, and even Blakely didn't deserve someone like her. Too bad he was too stupid to realize what a fake, deceitful person she was. She was cheating on him right now….and making a move on Percy. Oh gods, it really was him. What in Hades was he doing here!

Chelsea leaned over him smiling smugly as other girls looked on in jealously.

"So how 'bout a ride tough guy?" she said trailing a finger across Percy's chest. No, Annabeth thought, hands off my boyfriend!

To her sudden amusement, Percy leaned back very uncomfortably and starting fumbling for words.

"Thing is….you see…I have…uhh….I'm here to pick up my…."

"Girlfriend?" Annabeth put in with a crooked smile.

"Annabeth!" He cried out in relief.

Annabeth turned to look at him, then ran her gaze over his motorcycle before looking at him, eyebrows raised.

"What's this Percy? A motorcycle? Are you serious? Percy…"

He grinned unabashedly and tossed a helmet at her.

"Like it? Happy Birthday Wise-Girl. I love you. "

She blushed and stared at the black helmet. On the back in hot-pink writing was Annabeth. It was made for her. She slid it over her head laughing softly and got on behind Percy wrapping her arms around his waist. He revved it arrogantly and they sped off leaving Chelsea and her gaping mouth behind.
