Nami hung up her jacket near the door and turned just in time to see Vivi coming around the corner, wearing an apron.

"Welcome home," Vivi exclaimed, smiling.

"Hey, Princess," Nami said, coming forward and giving her a quick squeeze. "You just started dinner?"

"Yup! Chicken and egg!"

"Smells yummy." Nami released her and Vivi straightened out her apron, checking the ties on the back.

"How was your day?" she asked, heading back to the kitchen, Nami close behind. "You're a bit late . . . did something happen at the bank?"

Nami shrugged. "Oh, not really . . . except for the attempted robbery."

"What?!" Vivi shrieked, whirling around to stare at her.

Nami winced. "No need to worry. A couple of guys knocked them out, and their guns were fake anyhow."

"They had guns?!"

"They were fake," Nami said firmly. "One of them threatened me, but couldn't touch me before that guy knocked them out. The other one distracted the other two while his boyfriend took care of them."

Vivi hurried back over to Nami and looked her over. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Nami said with a fond smile. "Really. I was scared, but after they were knocked out it got boring. Cops came and took the perps away."

Vivi ignored this, still looking over Nami for the smallest sign of an injury. Nami sighed.

"Oh!" she exclaimed. "You know what? I actually did get hurt!"

"You did! Where?!" Vivi cried frantically.

"There's a bruise on my cheek," Nami said, pointing. "It's very small, but I know something that can heal it."

"What's that?"

"A kiss of true love."

Vivi frowned. "But a kiss doesn't . . ."

She trailed off and raised her eyebrows in sudden understanding.

"I'll do my best," she said, smiling, and she leaned over to kiss Nami's cheek.

"Aw, thanks," Nami said, kissing her in return.

"Is there . . . anywhere else you're hurt?"

"Hm . . . there's one on my forehead . . . and one on my nose," Nami said mischievously, pointing to the spots as she spoke.

Vivi leaned over again and kissed the spots gently. Nami hugged her and pecked her on the lips.

"Are you all healed now?"

"Fit as a fiddle." Nami glanced over to the stove. "You, uh, might wanna check that."

Vivi glanced over, threw up her arms, and hurried back to the stove just in time to save the chicken.
