A Change of Plans
I'm running, running from what you ask? Running from them, bandits, they're everywhere. Next thing I know, I am in front of a cliff. They're catching up to me. Without thinking, I jump, hoping I don't die from the fall. (Although I probably will) Suddenly, I feel like I have been swept away from death it self. I am in someone's arms. Fur, I look up to see a god with silver hair. He look like he's flying away with me on a cloud. "Am I dead?" I ask him. He is the most gorgeous thing I've ever met, with long silver hair and two pink streaks on each side of his face. I see a crescent moon on his forehead. The light from the sunset is reflecting off of his smooth skin, making him look like a real god.
"No, you are to rest at my castle for the time being," he has such a deep voice. I snuggle closer into his fur as he flies to his castle with me still in his arms. I hold on to the fur tightly as he make a sharp turn to my left. The fur pelt twitches as I hear the silver haired god growl. Growl? I never knew gods could growl. As far as I know, gods do not growl. "Please refrain from abusing my tail," he says with a hint of annoyance in his voice. Now I am positive his is not a god at all.
I look over into the distance to see a large castle coming into view. I gasp as say " It's beautiful, how do you ever afford all this?" of course I wouldn't know have he could afford it. It is obvious that I am just a peasant while he is of much higher class than I.
"This was my father's castle when he was still alive. I inherited this castle a while back when he died," he says like it is of no importance to him at all. This "god" still seem like a very shaky character to me. He suddenly descends and the cloud disappears beneath my feet. I prepare to fall to my death, but this "god" yet again saved me. Many guards surround the castle, but when I get a closer look at them, they do not look human at all. Demons, I noticed, they were all demons, even this "god". I was told my whole life that demons were evil and will eat humans. I was wrong perhaps, since this silver haired demon saved me from being killed.
"You will rest in the room beside mine," he says just as a little girl with a bouquet of flowers came running into him.
"Lord Sesshoumaru has finally come back. Rin is very happy. Rin thought lord was in trouble," the little girl apparently has a habit of talking in third person.
"Have you been good Rin?" Sesshoumaru asks in the gentlest tone I've heard him talk in.
"Yes yes, Rin has been very good! Rin picked flowers for lord," Rin looks over to me and smiles. "Who is this pretty lady? Is lord going to marry her? Lord said lord will find Rin a mommy," Rin says as she walks up to me with the bouquet of flowers and hands them to me. I can feel the blood rushing to my cheeks. I look at Sesshoumaru in search of an answer when he suddenly spoke.
"Rin, it is almost time for dinner. Please go and set up the table," He says as he walk into to the castle.
