Summary: Before Stella leaves New York, she left a letter behind for Mac to read.
It was Friday that day, Mac was pacing around in Stella's apartment. That place bringed so much memories to him,' good times' he kept reminding himself. It was just last week when she entered his office, telling him that she's got a job from Chicago. Mac's heart literally was broken to pieces when she said that, but he kept his pokerface.
There was so much that he wanted to tell her, so many words unspoken. Who was he kidding? He's got all the time in the world before, but he din't use it. Instead he avoided her and went off with some other brunette, leaving poor Stella all alone.
When Mac finally decides to settle, he saw a letter on one of the desks. He walked over to it and opened the letter. It was a letter written to him! Stella must've known he will be there or something. That's what he misses about Stella, she's the only one who understands him deeply. He felt like crying on the spot but he held on. He sat on the edge of her bed and began reading the letter.
" Dear Mac,
I hope you're doing fine. I left this message for you, cu'z you know..I know you'll be at my apartment pacing around. There's..One Thing I will miss at Chicago, its You. I'm not sure how I'm gonna find a best friend like you Mac..You've always been there for me, same thing as I'm always there for you. Anyway, I just wanna tell you, I Love You, Mac. And I hope you love me too. I know, I sound crazy but I really like you. You remember the time we're at Greece? It was the greatest moments of my life! Spending time with you..What more could I ask for? I just wished that we had time before, become real couples..But I was'nt your type, so I cant blame you. Lastly, I wanna say good bye to all of you from the crime lab. And I'll always remember you guys! Bye, love you forever.. Your Best Friend,
Stella "
He folded the letters and placed it beside him. He put his palms on his face, letting his tears pour down on its own. But those tears we're meaningless now, it's too late for them to change anything. What ever happened, happened.
