Makashi's Memories (one shot)
I decided to leave the Village hidden in the Leaves for the night to return to my own village.
As I walk through the ruins of my village, the horrible memories flood back to me.
Houses were on fire, people were shouting, the few ninjas our small village had were trying to hold off the demon that the enemies had summoned. A few were helping the other villagers to escape and attack the enemy ninja.
My mother and father were fighting the demon while I was tracking down and disposing of enemy ninja.
The enemy I was tracking down was fast and very skilled, but I managed to catch up to him and throw some of my kunai. He managed to dodge them all but one, but that one was all that was needed. It had cut his leg and caused him to stop and face me. I took out my sword that I had been carrying and attacked head first. We battled until we were both out of breath and had cuts everywhere. I decided I had wasted too much time here and was about to activate my sharingan when another enemy had sneaked up behind me without me noticing. He knocked me out. Right before I closed my eyes, I caught a glimpse of their headgear: soundnins…
A few hours later I woke up to almost complete darkness; it had only been early evening when I got knocked out. My body hurt but I ignored it. I found my way back to the village. That ninja lead me quite a way aways.
As I walked into the village, I gasped, there were dead bodies everywhere. Most of the houses had collapsed, the ones that hadn't, were charred and looked they were about to collapse to. Blood covered everything. As far as I could tell, the enemies were long gone. I searched around the mess, checking everywhere, looking for survivors. I found none.
I went east of the village towards my house, and hoped the enemy didn't make it out there. I had let out a sigh of relief when I saw my house; it looked the same as I had left it.
I went inside and called out, "Kylee? Nick?"
No answer.
I started to worry, and headed down the hall into the kitchen.
Tears welled up in my eyes as I saw the sight before me. I dropped to me knees and rested my head on the floor as I screamed and screamed till I lost my voice. Tears ran down my dirty face, leaving streaks.
The twins were covered in blood, looks of horror captured on their faces, forever ingraining the image into my mind.
