Obito breathed hard as he rested his back against a tree. Snow covered the land just outside the Land of Fire, but the chunin felt so hot that he thought the snow would melt around him.

The Uchiha's cheeks were flaming red, his stomach was queasy, and he had a pounding headache. This wasn't good. He couldn't be feverous at a time like this…especially whenever he was on a mission with his egotistical teammate, Kakashi.

Speaking of that moron, where was he?

"Obito. Get up."

Obito snorted as Kakashi appeared in a poof of smoke in front of him. Huh. So much for wondering where he was. "I'm comin', just hold on," the chunin grumbled before picking himself up.

The dark haired shinobi was rather proud that he was a chunin now. He was finally at the same rank as Kakashi. It had only taken him…seven more years…

Kakashi raised an eyebrow as he noticed that his teammate's face was rather flushed. "Why are you blushing like that?" he asked. Obito rolled his eyes.

"I'm not blushing, I'm just hot!" he retorted before stomping in the direction of the village they were supposed to go to.

The two ninja continued on their way. Obito felt more and more dizzy with each step, but he fought to control it. He couldn't let stupid Kakashi know that he had caught a stupid bug.

"Hey, Obito," Kakashi said calmly. "How far away is the next village?"

"How the heck should I know?!" he snapped. "You're the one with the map!"

"No need to get touchy…"

Obito sighed and faced forward. "…sorry, I didn't mean to snap. I just have a slight headache, that's all."

Kakashi nodded. "It's fine. And to answer your question, I don't have the map. I gave it to you for you to use. Where is it?"

The Uchiha gulped as his pupils dilated. Oh, shoot! He had forgotten to pick up the map whenever he sat down by that tree. He snapped his eyes shut and smacked himself on the forehead, hurting his palm on his goggles.

"And I'm going to take that as an 'I forgot the map'."

Obito winced as his headache pounded even fiercer. He growled and glared at Kakashi. "Shut the heck up, Kakashi! As if you've never forgotten anything in your life!" He huffed and spun back around, marching back the way they came. "I'll just go back and get it, and be back in record time!"

Kakashi rolled his eyes before slumping down on the snow. He didn't know how he could handle having this idiot on his team. The Hatake thought it was going to be interesting, having his teacher being Minato Namikaze, but getting Obito on his team ruined it.

How were they ever going to finish this mission without killing each other?

Suddenly, Kakashi's ears pricked whenever he heard snow crunching. He spun around and started after Obito only to discover he had fallen face-first into the icy liquid.

The masked shinobi crouched down in alarm and lifted Obito's face out of the snow. He looked very sick, and was burning up.

That idiot. Lying about his health just to go on a mission.

With a sigh, Kakashi picked up his teammate and hoisted him over his shoulders before starting back towards the village.

Squads had to stick together, right?
