My Immortal

I do not own the song my immortal nor do I own Inuyasha so please enjoy my immortal.

The dark restless sky rumbled and flashed. The sound of footsteps running up stairs grew louder they paused as they reached a door. Slowly the knob turned a slight push against the wood the door opened. A dark empty room was reviled the only light to be seen was from the window which lit up when lightning illuminated the sky. The sound of rain pounded against the glass. Quietly within the shadows a person crossed the thresh hold of the door. The door clicked silently behind. Footsteps silently moved toward the window. The reflection in the glass reviled a girl with ebony hair and ivory skin. She stared silently watching something down below. The sound of a car starting roared to life and a black mustang drove off into the storm. The girl turned toward a desk right next to her and stared at a picture of a man with a little girl with weariness.

I'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
'Cause your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone

"STOP IT" a cry of a small child shouted out "Please, no more" huddled in a corner lay a child the age of twelve with cuts on her arms and a gash in her side. Bruises up and down her body turned black and blue the older bruises fading.

A quiet whimper left her quivering lips as pain throbbed throughout her body. She lay silently as she watched with terrified eyes of an adult figure thrashing and shouting at another. She wrapped her arms tightly around her body and shut her eyes filled with tears whispering a lullaby to drown out the yelling which they created.

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

The girl smiled sadly at the picture the tears falling from her eyes as she fell to her knees in defeat she screamed her hand clenched tight wrapping around a gold locket shaped in a heart.

When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears

And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me

"PAPA!" a gap toothed child smiled up at a tall figure "welcome home" he smiled and patted her head. The look on his face changed when he told me about Mothers death. "She is in a better place now" he whispered. The girls eyes started to water and the tears began to fall. The man kneeled down and wiped her tears away holding her hand to his chest tightly.

You used to captivate me
By your resonating light
Now I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away
All the sanity in me

"YOU LITTLE BRAT" A thundering voice yelled "STOP" She screamed her tears falling. "I CANT TAKE THIS ANYMORE" 15 years old now the girl grabs something from a nearby drawer "DON'T MOVE" the sound of a gun being loaded sent silence threw the air. "Now hold on here put the gun down" "NO YOU KILLED MOM! YOU LIED TO ME" The sound of a gun shot rang out, the girl screamed as the man fell to the floor.

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

The girl smiled again as she stood the black mustang which had left reappeared. "Papa, I am sorry" she whispered. She stared at the gun on the table loading the bullets she smiled. The sound of frantic feet ran up the stairs she closed her eyes "goodbye" the door slammed open, the gun went off "KAGOME!"

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me
I've been alone all along
