Look, a very different Mal! Yaaay
Mal, the daughter of Maleficent, Mistress of Darkness was watching faraway lights from her bedroom balcony with her heart swelling not with pride, but jealousy and hurt.
Even though her mother always taught her to be evil, Mal didn't feel that being jealous was a quality she wanted to instill in her. Not all children would want to grow up like their parents, right?
But she was really sad that she wasn't there to enjoy all the fun there.
"Mom!" she burst into her mother's quarters, already crying. "Mom, Mom!"
"What is it, pumpkin?" the body of evilness asked quietly. She wasn't all that good, but she loved her daughter, only because it was natural that a mother would love her daughter.
"Someone's thrown a party, and I wasn't invited!" Mal sobbed, hanging her head and pointing at the fireworks thundering outside.
Maleficent's eyes darkened and she picked the small twelve year old into her arms and transformed into dragon and flew to where the party was taking place.
When she reached the place where the Evil Queen was celebrating her own beautiful daughter Evelyn's birthday, she put Mal down and told her to zip her mouth shut. Mal obeyed, she didn't like seeing her mom so angry.
Everyone in the crowd froze. They were all terrified of the Mistress of Darkness. She ruled the Isle and they had tried to keep this a secret but had obviously failed. Jay, the son of the sorcerer, Jaffa was at least brave enough to narrow his eyes at Maleficent. On the other hand, Carlos, the eleven year old son of Cruella De Vil, cowered and tried to prevent anyone from seeing it. Mainly because his own mother would kill him later.
"Evil Queen... you threw a party for your daughter Evelyn, invited half of the Isle...and then you 'conviniently' forget to invite not only me, but my daughter, too?"
Mal gasped and took a few steps back. Maleficent was about to do the same thing she did to Queen Aurora. She watched, frozen as her mother extracted a spellbook from the dark robes and opened it, cold fury in her voice as she recited the poem-like words. When she reached the last line, however, Mal dashed forward.
"No, Mom!" she screamed and she said it so suddenly the spellbook fell and the soon to be curse broke.
"Excuse me, Mal?" Maleficent breathed. Her tone suggested that she may as well shut up now.
"I...mean... I mean, we're villains, right? We're one! So...we should forgive each other, right, Mom?" Mal looked at her mom desperately.
"If this happens again," Maleficent hissed to the Evil Queen, "I will make sure you and your pretty little princess sleep for a hundred years."
Evelyn hid behind her mother as Maleficent picked up her spellbook and turned back to Mal.
"Come on, Mal, we're leaving." She looked ovee shoulder to the rest of the petrified villains and their kids. "Let this be a warning to you all."
She picked Mal over her shoulder like a bag of potatoes and was gone, quick as thought.
