"Bonjour ma chérie." Delphine, propped up on her elbow, said to her companion.

Cosima yawned and smiled a toothy grin. The newly risen sun pooled in through the open windows of Cosima's apartment and spilled perfectly onto her brown colored hair; giving a golden hue to her dreadlocks, her eyes reflecting the light like disco balls.

"Mmm morning," Cosima mumbled, her eyes still half closed.

Cosima rolled closer to Delphine, burying her head into her lover's chest. Delphine stroked her hair, and kissed her forehead before whispering in her ear that it was time for them to wake up and go to the lab.

"But like can't we just stay in bed all day? I promise to make it worth your while." Cosima implored.

A smirk crossed Delphine's face, and quickly fell. As much as she liked that idea, she knew they had to get to the lab and work on Cosima's biology. Cosima has been her greatest concern and was insistent on discovering more about her illness. Growing more and more concerned as Cosima became more and more glued to the television watching Jennifer Fitzsimmon's tapes.

She decided to play Cosima's game for a while. Cupping Cosima's face in her hands and kissing her softly. Feeling her warm body underneath her own, Delphine felt Cosima smile into the kiss, she tried to memorize her lips, and how soft Cosima's bare chest felt against her own. By the time they broke apart a tear ran down Delphine's face, raising concern from Cosima.

"Hey, hey what's wrong?" Cosima said gently wiping the tear away with her thumb.

"Nothing, we're going to be late if we don't hurry Cherie." Delphine turned her head, and wiped the remaining tears out of her eyes. She crawled out of bed and hurried to the bathroom, slamming the door behind her.
