A poem by The Silversage
For LinusI was always the queen who got her way. Of course,
Back then, you were smaller then me.
When did one so young become a wise old man…
Or was it the zen of the thumb
Such mature thoughts and opinions with a blanket in tow
What secret advise does that blanket give you?
I often feel guilty for when I used to be quite cruel.
I was the loudmouthed fussbudget while you…
The quiet contemplator. The philosopher.
I always tried to stand strong and tough, a tall proud oak.
I made fun of your quiet ways,
Teased you mercilessly about that blanket.
I still do.
Yet you still stand just as strong if not stronger then me.
How do you do it?
(This poem is for my little brother)
