"Ugh, why does Apollo have to make the sun so hot? Can't he see we're frying down here?"

"No, of course he doesn't. He can't feel the heat. He probably doesn't even care about us."

Burn? They didn't even know the meaning of burn. "It's so hot," the complained, "But Apollo doesn't even feel anything." They didn't understand. They thought that he didn't feel the heat, the pain, or the burn. Oh, but he did. He felt it more than them. It was excruciating. The pain of all the sun. The god of healing, they called him. Then why couldn't he heal himself? They complained when the sun burned them, but he couldn't help it. He just wanted some relief. They said that he didn't feel it when he was the sun himself. Imagine what they would think if they found out that the god of the sun didn't actually like daytime. Imagine what they would think if they found out that his favorite time of day was actually night.

They weren't very observant, the demigods or even the gods themselves. Heck, even the Olympians themselves were blind to the truth that was right in front of them. They thought that because he was the god of truth, that meant that he couldn't lie. Oh, if only they knew. As for Artemis, would would suspect that Zeus' precious little girl could be capable of lying? All in all, they kept up a pretty good act, very convincing actually. No one suspected a thing. Everyone thought that the siblings hated each other. They didn't even think that maybe, just maybe they might be lying. They didn't think that maybe the siblings might actually love and care for each other like they should. No, no one suspected the truth.

No one noticed that Apollo and Artemis were like real siblings, mourning for a mother who wasn't there and wishing for a father who wasn't as proud, a father who would actually show his love for his children instead of hiding it inside of him where they would never see it. Nobody realized that they comforted each other from nightmares. They also didn't realize that Apollo knew his sister was older and would sometimes cuddle into her embrace like a little kid. No one realized that sometimes Apollo and Artemis would fall asleep at night in each others arms, Apollo trying to absorb some coolness, and Artemis trying to get rid of the child in her bones. No, no one saw them because they were all blind to the truth. Truth, the one thing that Apollo saw clearly.

"Why is that idiot on the Olympian Council anyway?"

"Ya, it's not like he's smart enough to make any decisions. God of prophecies? As if, he'll probably get us all killed."

"He's stupid, a total idiot, I'd say."

Oh, he was the idiot? Of course. because how could the god of knowledge possibly have any intelligence in his head? That's just not logical at all. No, the thing that's not logical is the fact that the ones who call themselves "smart" can't even make logical decisions by themselves. They say, "Kill all the powerful demigods!" If they do that, then who will be left to fight their wars for them? (Because Chaos knows they won't fight them themselves.)

Hah! And they called him the idiot.

Let's see how they feel when the sun doesn't rise.

Let's see how they feel when the cold sets in.

Let's see how they feel when the sun sets…

Forever.

A/N I know what you are all thinking, "Why…?" It's simple really. I had an idea (As lame or brilliant as it may be.), and I had to write it. I wondered what would happen if Apollo was fed up with being called stupid or just the little things like people complaining about the sun. Well, maybe he would just give up on them. (After all, they gave up on him first.) I don't know if you guys liked it or not, but here it is.

Bye my tear droplets.
