If there was ever something I would wish you to take from me, it would be this:
Love unconditionally; even if it means you are never once loved in return.
Forgive even the most ruthless of people; even if you are never forgiven for it, for they have no one to take them as they are.
Hope when all others have fallen; so that even if it is only a speck, the light shall still penetrate the vail of darkness just as your mother once did.
Finally…run. Run farther than you ever thought possible; do this so that even if there is no one beside you the wind will block out the silence of loneliness.
In the end know this- that even if you cannot do these things. Even if you cannot do even one, you will always be my daughter. The daughter that I love for all that you are and all the things you are not. My legacy thrives within you, in the form of you, and it will always be a part of you.
When the adventure is over and you make way for one last journey, I will be waiting for you. I will welcome you. At long last…you will be home.
