"That bitch! She left me! She is going to feed me to the walkers and get away." He had walkers all around and had five bullets left and the only knife that he had he gave to her. He was trapped and did not know what to do he was cursing giving up his knife as he bashed the skull of a walker in with a rock. "Hey! Over here!" He looked up and saw Beth standing at the edge of the woods yelling to get the attention of the walkers. He took the moment of distraction to make a break for it. He ran through the alley and headed to the woods where he saw the young blond disappear were no longer focusing on him so he was able to go through the woods without them noticing. He ran and ran until it was just him in the woods. He had lost Beth and had no idea where she was heading. Suddenly he noticed that the woods were coming to an opening, he kept moving hoping he would come across some trace she left behind, so he could track her. He saw the field and hoped that she had also crossed that same field, he saw many tracks where the small herd had passed through and decided to follow them. His best bet on finding Beth was to assume that she was trying to outrun the herd. He walked for what felt like hours and it probably was before he came across a mess of undead, dead corpses. Someone had managed to take down about fifteen walkers, they had all been stabbed in the brain. At this point he was beginning to wonder what group of people he was going to come across. He followed the trail of blood and guts looking for any clue as to who would be capable of doing this. Suddenly he stopped, his blood ran cold, he could feel a cold sweat forming on the back of his neck. There covered in blood was a bracelet as he moved closer he saw that this bracelet was Beth's, she was wearing it when they met in the hospital. Now it was broken, the cross that had dangled from it was now detached and laying a few feet away from the chain. He did not want to believe that the owner of this bracelet was dead or worse, taken again. They were not close but he did not want anything to happen to her. He picked up the bracelet, put it in his pocket and continued with the trail with little hope that he would find her again.
