~The Legend of Spyro: Light Legacy~
~Prologue~
Inside the cave silence was only broken by a single water drop every now and then, but there was no sign of life to be found in any crevice or hole. Not even a single fly buzzed around inside this damp cold cave. Up the sides of the walls were shining purple crystals planted firmly into small cracks. Their pointed tips grew outward from the walls and ceiling giving off a small glow of purple light. Further into the cave, small puffs of smoke came creeping out from a small hole in the floor where it glowed blue. Small trails of blue liquid began to appear travelling along the floor, up the walls and along the ceiling. Any other liquid would have stayed firmly on the floor but the strange gravity inside this cave caused it to be pulled along all sides of the cave. It was a truly magical sight; it was almost like it was from a fantasy book.
A faint white glow towards the back began to pulse. It was a mysterious light that came from a small round shaped stone. Its edges were strangely perfectly smooth and its white colour contrasted with the green covered rocks surrounding it. This was no ordinary rock though. It started to move about causing the whole cave to rumble. The light shining from it became more intense and the ground started to crack and split and the ceiling began to crumble to the floor. Just before the whole cave collapsed in on itself, the rock cracked causing the cave to stand still. The crumbling ceiling began to crumble no more as rocks that had been falling off stopped in their tracks whether they had completely fallen or not. Some were suspended half a metre above the ground while others were just about to hit the floor. An eerie low pitched hum sounded around the cave as it echoed off the walls. The pitch began to pick up slowly and it got higher and higher. The strange rock cracked even more. It was clear that this was not a rock, but an egg. An egg of what creature is hard to tell but it began to spin around violently and the white light became unbearable. Suddenly it burst open and a giant glowing creature sprung out sending a beam of bright white light through the cave walls and into the night sky and up and up. It stayed there only for a couple of seconds and then burst into lots of tiny glowing white shards and they twinkled down onto the grassy floor.
Back in the cave, the creature that had come out of the egg had completely disappeared. It had left no trail either. Outside the cave though, a mysterious hooded figure gazed into the night sky with eyes that were darting about as if looking for something. The bow and quiver slung along his back was thrown to the floor as he knelt down and rummaged in a small sack. He pulled out a flare and threw it up into the sky. It let out a bright red light for about 10 seconds then fell back down to earth. He was on the trail of this creature and it was clear from the flare, that he wasn't the only one.
