*Claude' s pov*

I was sitting at the table near the door, looking for some one special. Countless people passed by me but no-one stood out, then she came in. She should have been like every other girl I've seen today.

She had average looks. Her skin was pale in a way as to suggest is saw little sun, yet it was covered in freckles. Her red hair was cut short, Her hazel eyes, framed with thick lashes, hide behind glasses. Her where full and red in color, but where chapped. She wore loose fitting jeans, a dark red hoodie, and sneakers with a book bag slung over Her right shoulder.

She didn't look around to find an empty table or friends, she just walked straight to a booth in the back. When she walked she stood tall, her shoulders back with a confident stride, but she keeped her head tilted down, in a way as to not draw attention to herself.

Once she sits down at her both she pulls out a stack of files, a big book, and several different pens. She opens the first file, skimming it briefly while jotting down some notes. She then turns her attention to the book. She continues taking notes, occasional doodling or drawing a diagram. Before long a waiter brings her a drink, they talk for a few moments before they both go back to work. "Just another student" I think as I turn my attention back to the door, but I couldn't help but occasionally look back over at her.

Several hours pass and I was just about to give up for the day,I look over at her one last time expecting her to be writing or reading something, but she wasn't. She had packed up her things and was heading to the counter opposite where I was walks by me on her way up. Her sent was intoxicating, sorrow and pain, determination and hope, greed and lust, and something else that seemed out of place. Innocents pure untainted innocents. Her soul, a soul that had experienced so much, dealt with so much evil yet remained completely untainted, a soul so rare I've rarely seen it before. I lose all my senses for a few moments until I remember what I should have been doing.

I look around to find her again. She was talking to the waiter again, she nods a couple of times before looking in my direction, she never makes eye contact with me. She turns back to the waiter, laughs before saying their good byes and starts heading to the door. As passes I see she has a new book under arm, I'm able to make out the word demon on the title. I wait a few minutes before leaving.
