Prompt : Invisible Scars
Katniss:
Before my prep team comes in, I take a minute to examine my new perfect skin.
I feel disgusted.
The Capitol has now made sure that they've taken everything from me. My freedom. My rights. And now even my scars. My hunting scars defined my life in chapters. They plotted my progress through life, each scar taking a story from my life and displaying it for the world to see. The stupid goat that kicked me. The metal snare I tripped by accident. My knife mistakes. The arrows I sharpened with too much haste. Even my battle against the Games.
All gone.
I sit down to ponder these thoughts, when my prep team barges in. As they fiddle with my hair and makeup, I can only come up with one thought that makes this theft by the Capitol bearable.
Not all scars are visible.
