Ok, this is my first oneshot. It's probably going to suck, but I thought I'd try. This is a Hermione/Draco fanfic.

Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. By the way, I saw HP:7 part one. It was awesome.

Hermione watched as Draco Malfoy walked into the Potions classroom. She didn't let anyone know, but she had a slight crush on the Malfoy heir. She looked away from the grey-eyed blond. When Professor Snape walked in, she had her potions book out, and she taped her fingers on her desk. She listened to the question that Snape asked, and waited for someone else to answer it. When no one did, she looked around to see many people staring at her, including Draco.

"Miss Granger, am I to presume that you do not know the answer?" Snape asked with his usual sneer on his face. He glided between the rows of benches to her seat. "Got tired of being an insufferable know-it-all, and didn't study?" Several Slytherins snickered at that. Snape barely waved them into silence. He looked down at the brunet, who was currently blushing.

"I know the answer, Professor, I just want someone else to answer the question for once." Hermione said, blushing a bit more. Everyone stared at her again, this time with surprise with what she said. Draco's smirk faded from his face as he looked at her with new light. She looked up, noticed him looking at her, and her eyes widened as she stared back at her book and blushed a deeper red. After class, she was on her way to the great hall, when someone pulled her into an empty classroom. She turned when she heard the door shut to see Draco leaning against the heavy door. "Malfoy? What are you doing?"

"Why did you do that earlier? I mean, say what you did and blush when our eyes met?" Draco stepped away from the door, but closer to her. He watched as she backed away. He smirked. He saw her tremble slightly as she tried to get words to come out of her mouth. His smirk grew, and he said, "Am I to believe that you like me?" He saw her eyes widen, and he stared at her. "You do? You really do like me?" He asked her.

She blushed. "I understand if you don't want to date a Mudblood." she said with hatred in the word "Mudblood". She stared at the floor with tears in her eyes. "I understand. I really do. I'm a know-it-all, and I can't wait to give the answer. The one time I try to give someone else a chance to answer, everyone stares at me like I'm sick."

Draco stepped up beside her without her noticing. "Professor Snape loved Lily Evans when they were in school. They were best friends, and one day when he was embarrased by James Potter, he accidently called Lily 'Mudblood'. She didn't forgive him for a long time, and by the time she did, it was too late for him to become more than friends. She had already married James, his nemesis." Draco saw her surprised look. "I don't want to make the same mistake." He took her hand, and said, "This is our last year of Hogwarts, and I want to appologise for calling you a mudblood. I didn't mean it. I just followed the misguided views of my peers. Will you forgive me?"

Hermione gaped at him. "I can't believe that Professor Snape loved Lily Potter, but if you say it, then it must be true. I believe you." She paused. "And I forgive you." She hugged him, and then pulled back, blushing. "Sorry." He shook his head and pulled her back into his arms. She stared at him, and asked, "Does that mean that we can date? I mean, if you want."

"I would like that." He said, smiling. He held onto her, and kissed her.
