I watched Misfits for the first time, and judging by Nathan and Torchwood's Jack Harkness, being immortal isn't all that good.

This gave me a few ideas I may turn in to stories. Maybe.

...

Jack woke up for the millionth time underground. Not in the comfort of his underground base, but in the dirt that would one day become Cardiff. He tried to work out how long he'd been down there, and how many times he'd died, and was concentrating so hard he barely noticed that he was running out of air and that he was about to choke on mud. Again.

...

Nathan looked up at the lid of the coffin encasing him. "Still there" thought bitterly. He changed the song on his iPod, and wondered how many people were missing him. Lots, probably. Comforted by that thought, he barely felt the air in the coffin run out.

...

Jack looked up and saw the teeth of the weevil that was about to kill him. Knowing there was nothing he could do to stop it; he sighed and wondered what Ianto was doing at that moment, and barely felt the teeth puncture the skin on his neck.

...

Nathan looked down at the pole sticking through his stomach, and tried not to throw up while he imagined how many organs it had pierced. He was concentrating so hard, if it wasn't for the pain suddenly going he would not have noticed that he'd died.
