"She's beautiful in her simple little way
She don't have too much to say when she gets mad
She understands she don't let go of anything
Even when the pain gets really bad
Guess I should've been more like that"

She stared through the glass doors of PPTH.

Watched them smile and laugh.

His laughter use to be so rare.

But since he has been with that "girl" he has been happier.

At least that's what Wilson said.

And standing there watching them with her own eyes she saw it was true.

You had it all for a pretty little while
And somehow you made me smile when I was sad
You took a chance on a bruised and beaten heart
Then you realized you wanted what you had
I guess I should've been more like that

Walking into the front doors she hoped he would notice her.

Smile at her.

Her heels clicked on the floor.

And Greg being the observant man he was, his head turned toward the new noise.

Stacy held her breath.

His eyes met hers for a brief moment.

In them she saw indifference.

He turned back to the "girl" and they walked away with his hand placed on her lower back.

I should have held on to my pride
I should have never let you lie
I guess you got what you deserved
I guess I should've been more like her

Walking past House's office she heard yelling.

The blinds were drawn but she could hear the fighting.

House's gruff voice yelling out insult like a lash from a whip

The female voice was less auditable.

But it was full of tears.

Stacy smiled to herself and continued to Wilson's office.

Forgiving you, she's stronger than I am
You don't look much like a man from where I'm at
It's plain to see desperation showed it's truth
You love her and she loves you with all she has
I guess I should've been more like that

Following Wilson to House's Office Stacy had a small smile on her face.

Now House would notice her.

Without that "girl in the way.

The blinds were still drawn but Wilson Just walked in with Stacy on his heels.

What they saw crushed all of the hope Stacy had left.

House was sitting on his desk chair with that "girl" on his lap.

Their lips were fused together until Wilson cleared his throat.

"Hi Cameron, House."

"Jimmy, to what to I own the annoyance?"

Stacy silently backed out of the room and walked away.

I should have held on to my pride
I should have never let you lie
I guess you got what you deserved
I guess I should've been more like her

She knew it was over.

He wasn't hers anymore.

He belonged to another.

She's beautiful in her simple, little way
