A little note: I re-wrote this because, well, it had so many errors such as spelling and sentence structure. This was originally written back in 2008, and I'd like to think I've improved since then. So, please enjoy the newer version!

Roxas tapped his pencil in vigorous succession as he stared at the clock. First hour Geometry would be a killer to most students, but today was especially hard for Roxas. He hardly listened as their teacher stressed the importance of finals in the summer. Roxas wished dearly that this class would get over and done with; he still had five more classes to go before school was done with for the day.
A sudden crumpled ball of paper to the back of his head broke his gaze on the clock. Roxas turned slightly to catch Sora staring at him apologetically, then nod at his twin's pencil. Sora's eyes widened in horror as Roxas mouthed obscenities at him before turning around. An assignment was being written on the board meant as preparations for finals. Groaning softly, he wrote down the numbers, flipped to the appropriate page in his textbook, and poured his frustration into his work.
"Roxas, what is up with you? You've been more snappy and uptight than I've seen you in my life." Sora questioned as he sat down at their usual lunch table, opposite Hayner, Pence and Olette. Roxas had placed himself between Olette and Hayner.
"Nothing, Sora. Everything's fine." Said blonde replied, although a raised eyebrow told him that Sora really wasn't buying it. He only shrugged, telling himself that what his brother didn't know, wouldn't hurt him. Roxas pulled his cell phone out as Kairi, Namine and Riku arrived, taking their places on Sora's side of the table. With the new arrivals, everyone was too distracted to see the smile on Roxas' face as he read the text on his cell phone.
His last class, World History, was going by faster than he had hoped, mainly because the teacher had allowed group work time for once. Roxas was currently working in a group with Sora and Kairi, who were arguing over what to do after school.
"Hey, hey, Roxas! Do you wanna go and get some ice cream with Kairi, Riku and I after school? It'll be Riku's treat, since he owes me for last time." Sora suddenly piped up after the two had finally agreed on something.
"Not today, Sora. I need to stay after for some math help." Roxas took a glance at the clock, surprised to find that there was only five minutes left of class. His heart fluttered a little. So little time separated them.
"Riku could help you so you don't have to stay behind. he helps me study all the time, and look at how my grades are!" Sora chirped brightly as Roxas snorted in disbelief.
"I'm sure Riku helps you with much more than math." He replied. Kairi burst into giggles as Sora hide his face in his hands. Smiling, he hurried and finished his work. The bell rang just as he was putting his things away. "Freedom!" Roxas cried as he joined the crowd of students rushing for the door. He could hear Sora yelling his name, but he didn't look back as he pushed his way out the doors. From there, he sprinted the mere four blocks to where the town library was. Roxas stopped just before the parking lot to regain his breath and composure. Didn't want him to think he was too excited about seeing him again. "Hey Axel." Roxas spoke almost shyly as he walked up to a rather tall, willowy looking college freshmen with shocking red hair that defied gravity. Sometimes Roxas was thankful for it, because it made Axel stand out in a crowd.
"Hey, kid." Axel replied, smirking as he ruffled his friends already messy hair. "How about we stop and get some ice cream before heading to my house for studying?" Roxas nodded in reply as a warm feeling inside him rose up and washed over him. As they walked to Axel's car, Roxas wished, as he had so many times before, that his time with Axel would never end.
