He held the pink hair goddess in his arms. She was weak; her petite body was shivering as she gasped for air. Blight spots were covering up her porcelain-like flesh.
"How's Yato-chan?" she asked, still gasping for air. Kofuku had lost her fight against the Ayakashi as she and Daikoku had aided Yatogami in his final fight against heaven.
"He made it," said Daikoku as he reached for his goddess's hand, wrapping his fingers around hers.
Kofuku carved a smile on her face upon hearing Daikoku's reply "I'm glad to know that even someone who brings poverty and despair like me could be of help."
Daikoku could not take it anymore. Tears rolled down his cheek like a stream as he clutched the body of his dying goddess harder. It killed him knowing that there is nothing he can do at this point.
As she wiped the tears of her shinki with her cold hand, she weakly raised her head so that she can be closer to Daikoku's face. Softly, she whispered into his left ear "Please take care of the new me well."
With those last words, Kofuku's body dispersed into thin air – not even a small remaining was seen.
Daikoku looked up into the sky and smiled, tears still rolling, "Yes, My Lady."
