Summary: Sam and Janet both think life is to short and decide to ask O'Neill to marry them

Sam and Janet both were sitting in their offices thinking about how life was really too little. Nothing imported had happened at the SGC. And then they both decide to go find Colonel O'Neill. Sam left her post to get him equally well did Janet. Both she and Janet ran into one another. So Sam asks her friend is she had seen O'Neill and she was dying to ask Cater the same idea. That is when they both realized that the two of them held the same idea to ask O'Neill the same idea.

What was the worst about them standing there is that to one another they had decided to ask him both to marry them on the same day and both try to find him.

"They both had been standing on that point for a long spell, and then the gate room alarm started to die away. Over the Intercom they heard Sgt. Harriman says incoming whole hole all security teams to the gate room."

When Carter and Janet got the gate room they saw Colonel O'Neill standing in a defense position covering the gate as SG-2, 3 and 5 came through the gate back home. Neither of them new that he had been off world on a three day mission. Both thought that he how been on base here. What had beam more shocking to them was the timing.

"Sam new there O'Neill was not the type to sit around and wait for anything ever. She had read his Military file and new that he was former Black Ops as well severed in the same unit with Major Kwalskey, Colonel Reynolds and others in Dessert Storm." Both to her surprise she didn't know that Janet had know more about Jack then she had ever found out about him in one life time.

"O'Neill didn't see them both standing there in the gate room door way as he was in the defense position more did he care about what they wanted to talk to him about. His main worry was to the men and woman that was still coming through that gate home. To jack that was the most important thing."

Cater could see this as he pushed his way past her now and down the hallway. It was like she wasn't even standing there.

Janet could see the look in his eyes as well the expression on his face. She knew that this was not the time to ask him anything or to bother him with questions. In fact she new the best way to help him was to stay out of his way until he calmed down and had time to rest.
