I have always wanted to write this story. Please enjoy and comment if you would like more.

Tick Tock. Tick Tock. Tick Tock.
She had only been seated on the bed for a few moments and already the ticking of the clock on the wall was driving her mad. All of her nervousness wasn't helping either and the fact that he wasn't there with her.
He had been so supportive, just like he promised he would be, but she was still secretly scared of what was happening. She wasn't even sure how she would handle the situation when it came around.
She never even planned or even thought about this before but now it was happening.
Sally Fields was sitting on a bed in the maternity department of a hospital waiting to give birth.
8 months ago, the crew of blue watch stood watching the Russian satellite break up in the sky. Well all the crew did except for Sally and Frank. They stood watching each other. Once the last pieces had fallen, Mick had ordered everyone to clean up and meet back in the mess. All of the crew did as ordered.
Sally had cleaned up and was in her locker room. Her emotions were all over the place. She realised that when Frank was trapped in the basement that she did love him as well. She was scared that she might lose him, just like the way she lost Joe. However she was feeling guiltier than any other emotion. She was angry at herself for not telling him the truth last night when she had the chance. She knew that she had to tell him the truth soon before it was too late.
A small knock interrupted her thoughts.
"Sal, it's me" Frank said.
It was now or never.
"Come in" She replied.
The curtain that separated her locker room from the others opened and there he was. Frank was covered in bruises and there was still a little bit of dried blood on his face.
Neither said anything to each other. Frank slowly walked over to her and sat on the small bench that was in the locker room. Both of their eyes never leaving each other.
Sally knew she had to say it now.
"Frank, last night you never gave me a chance to finish." She stated.
"What?" He replied.
"Last night when I told you that I got the pill from the doctor. I was going to tell you something else but you didn't let me finish." As she said the words, she realised that she was making it sound like it was his fault when it wasn't.
"Tell me now then." Frank replied.
"When I told you that the doctor gave me the pill, I never said that I took it." Sally quickly blurted out.
Frank's face said all the words that he needed to say. It really was like he had just seen daylight for the first time in years.
"Does that mean you're still pregnant?" He asked his voice slightly shaky.
Without saying anything, she went over to her locker and started looking for something. A moment later she turned around to look at Frank and in her hand was the pill that he thought she had taken.
"Y-Yes I am. I'm so sorry Frank. Like I said I just felt like everything was moving so fast. But when I seen your reaction last night, I knew how much I had hurt you. Then today in the shout, I thought I had lost you to. I've already lost one man to the job because I was scared to take a chance. I'm so sorry Frank. I want to keep the baby Frank but if you hate me, I understand. I'll do anything to make you believe it. I love you." Sally now had tears running down her face.
As she looked at Frank, he also had a few tears threatening to fall from his eyes. He quickly stood up and put both of his hands on her face and wiped away the tears with his thumb.
"I don't hate you Sally. I love you too and you don't have to be sorry. I want to have this baby to, but I know what you have to do to make me believe you." Frank replied as his own tears were falling down his face.
"What's that?" Sally asked nervously.
"Move in with me and be my girlfriend. We may argue at times but at least we can try and be a little family and -"
Sally cut him off by kissing him.
"Done! I'll move in as soon as were finished here." Sally replied as she pulled away.
"I love you." Frank replied.
"I love you to." Sally replied, kissing him again.
"Now to get rid of this." Sally said. She got out of Frank's arms and walked over to a toilet stall, dropped the pill in and flushed the toilet. A huge smile spread across her face and she walked back into Frank's arms.
They stood there for a few more minutes, both trying to look like they hadn't been crying.
After 2 more hours their shift was over. Luckily there were no more shouts. The time had been spent having a laugh and joke around with the rest of the crew. However neither of Sally nor Frank could take their eyes off each other.
Once the shift was over, they headed straight over to Sally's flat to collect all her stuff. Frank also insisted on carrying everything that was heavy and Sally was only allowed to lift the lighter stuff, which she happily agreed to. Luckily she didn't have a lot of things so it only took them 3 car trips to get everything over to Frank's flat.
Sally admitted to herself that even though she had only just moved in, she felt like she was home and that for once she was happy and looking forward to the future.
When Sally was 12 weeks along, it was time for their first scan. That's when the biggest shock of all came.
It was at this scan that the doctor informed them that they were having twins.
Sally was even more nervous than she was before now. She had finally started to become excited about having a baby, but having two babies scared her all over again. She was ok with having to take care of a baby but having two scared her on a whole new level. However Frank was there to calm her down. He assured her that she was going to be an excellent mum and that she had him as well. A fact that she sometimes forgot, due to begin on her own for so long.
The next stage was to tell her parents.
Sally had never brought a man home before, let alone a man whose babies she was carrying.
One weekend they had taken a trip up north for Frank to meet them, but Sally told her parents she was pregnant before they arrived.
The weekend was a huge success. Sally parents seemed to like Frank a lot and got on really well with him. Unbeknownst to them, Stephen had talked about Frank a lot before they arrived. Sally's parents even offered to move down to London to help look after the babies once Sally went back to work. Sally had told them she's think about it.
The next few months were great for Sally and Frank. They were getting to know each other more each day and were falling more in love with each other every day. Frank even said he had a surprise for Sally but she would have to wait until they found if they were having two boys or two girls. She couldn't wait to find out the sex of her babies for two reasons. The first so that she knew what sex her babies were. The second was that she hated surprises and wanted to know what it was.
She didn't have to wait for long because before they knew it, it was their 25 week scan and time to find out what they were having.
The doctor checked everything and everything was looking good for both Sally and the babies.
"So are we having two boys or two girls?" Frank asked the doctor once she had checked everything.
"Actually you are having one boy and one girl." Replied the doctor.
Both Sally and Frank were delighted with the news. One of each. Although they would have been happy with two boys or two girls as well.
A week later, Sally received her surprise. Sally had been preparing dinner for them when Frank, shouted her into the spare room to get her surprise. When she opened the door she was shocked.
The room had been transformed. There used to be a pale wall with a bed and foosball table in it. Now it was painted a light cream colour, with two cribs, a changing table, and a chest of drawers and sort of play area in the corner.
"I fixed it up for the twins. They'll sleep in our room for a while but this is their room. All we need is our babies now." Replied Frank, not knowing what Sally's reaction would be.
Sally couldn't speak. Instead she burst into tears. Immediately Frank was holding her while she cried.
"Do you not like it?" He asked, feeling a sad if she didn't. Instead of spending his days off at the gym , he had been in here slaying away to make this room into this children's room.
"No Frank. I love it. It's perfect. It's just all my emotions just now." Sally replied once she had calmed down.
"Thank god for that. Thought all my hard work had gone to waste." He chuckled.
"No. Just pregnancy hormones." She laughed nudging him in the ribs.
The next few weeks, they spent most of their time by buying clothes, toys and other baby essentials, but there was one crucial thing that they were missing. Baby names.
They had said a few names for each gender that they both liked but none of them matched. If you said one name, it didn't sound right with another name.
Then one day Sally got two names for the twins from her childhood.
"I think I've found two good names." Sally announced to Frank one night out of nowhere while they were watching TV.
"What are they?" Frank asked intriguingly.
"Sarah and James." Replied Sally.
Frank sat pondering for a moment.
"Sarah and James Mooney. I love it." Replied frank hugging her. "Where did you think of them?"
"I was thinking about old kids TV programmes and thought of Fireman Sam. They were the twins in it called Sarah and James. They were the fireman's niece and nephew. That will be like us instead they will be our children." Replied Sally.
"Ok. I like it and the idea. Our babies are Sarah and James Mooney." Replied Frank as he kissed and hugged Sally.
All of this information now seemed to have been years ago. Now it was time to give birth to her twins.
Sally was starting to grow anxious now as Frank still wasn't there. She had phoned him to say she was going to the hospital and that Andy would meet him outside once he arrived. That had been 30 minutes ago.
Another contraction hit her, which pulled her out of her thoughts. Sally squeezed her eyes tightly and waited for it to be over.
As the contraction was easing off, she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"I'm here Sal." Said Frank.
Thank god, thought Sally.
Over the next few hours, Sally was slowly getting closer to delivering. Frank had rubbed her back, gave her water and gave her encouraging words when needed.
At 10pm that night, the doctor arrived and told them that it was time for the twins to be born. The doctor felt for a moment to get everything ready.
"Well this is it Frank." Sally told Frank.
"Yep, Sarah and James Mooney are on their way." Frank replied.
Hope whoever reads this, does like it. If you'd like more I can write more stories as I have more ideas. Let me know.
