Lily grinned. "Come on harry! We're almost here!" She encouraged her three year old son, who looked as if he was about to collapse.
He looked up. "Really? How much farther?"
She laughed and picked him up. "Not long. Ok?"
Harry nodded.
Lily grinned and put him down. The two continued to walk, and were soon in Godric's Hollow. They wandered down the street and stopped when they saw the house. "That's it, Harry." Lily swallowed.
Harry looked up at his mum. "Can I play outside? Please?" He pleaded, his green eyes huge.
"Sure. Just stay in the front yard. Call me if something happens. I'm going inside." She leaned down and kissed his forehead.
Harry hugged his mum, then ran straight to the mud puddle.
She rolled her eyes, and then walked to the door. Lily breathed in, then knocked on the door.
Nothing.
She knocked again.
Silence.
Lily raised her hand to knock again, when the door opened. "Remus?" She was staring at one of her old friends, so, naturally, she ran and hugged him. "Remus! I missed you so much! Where's James? Where's Sirius? What about Mia? Where is she?"
Remus stood there, rooted in place. "L-lily? Is that really you?" He choked out.
She nodded.
"James! Get your arse down here! It's Lily!"
Lily heard a shriek and a loud thump. She looked over to the living room and saw her husband, James Potter. "James!" She yelped, and flung herself at him. She kissed him on the lips, and he kissed her back. They were snogging, trying to make up for those years missing years.
James pulled away to breath. "I love you. God, I'm so glad you're back."
Lily grinned.
"Lily? Is that you?"
She turned and saw Sirius. "Hi Siri!"
He hugged her. "What happened there, Lils?"
She shook her head. "I'll tell you later."
"MUM!"
Everyone froze. James, Remus, and Sirius stared at Lily. Remus and Sirius looked murderous, and James looked pained. "Lily-" She cut him off by hugging him.
"Who did it Lils. I swear, I'll ki-"
"Mum! Look at what I found! Can I keep it?" Harry asked as he walked in, covered in mud. In his hands, he's holding a blue butterfly.
"It's beautiful, Harry!" Lily ruffled his hair, making it messier than it already was.
He grinned even wider. "Really?"
She nodded. "But you're going to have to let it go. It's going to miss its family."
The three year old frowned. "Oh. Ok." He ran outside to let it go.
Lily grinned, kissed James, and then turned to Sirius. "You're going to kill him? Really? Your best mate?"
Sirius's mouth opened, then closed.
Remus was looking out the living room window, marveling at how much Harry looked like his dad.
James, on the other hand, had fainted; the shock of having his wife come home, and finding out he had a son, finally getting to him.
