Mangle sat in the kid's cove. She slowly rocked back and forth.
Warm tears ran down her face, smearing her makeup.
She didn't care anymore though. Her life was nothing now.
They couldn't accept it this way... They just wouldn't.
She knew deep down in her heart that it would turn out this way, but she didn't want to accept it.
Why couldn't they accept it? Accept the fox?
Was it because it wasn't the way they wanted it? Mangle knew that's what it was.
The fox was no longer a he or she but rather now an 'It.'...
A gender-less freak as some were calling it.
"It..." The word echoed through Mangle's mind as it's endo-skeleton head twitched nervously, remaining silent and emotionless.
"Why can't they accept us, Endo?" She asked, wiping some of her tears away and turning to the head that connected to her shoulders.
"I thought they loved us for us... Not because of our gender..." Mangle's amber eyes trailed down to the floor, seeing her reflection.
Make up, eyelashes... Why would he do this to her? Why would he make her this way if she had no gender?
"Don't ask me, Mangle..." The endo-skeleton head spoke up, looking over at the locked door of the cove and sighing.
Mangle glanced over at the head and wiped her tears away.
This was all too much. Everything was...
Everyone was arguing because of her, and Mangle knew it wouldn't stop.
For as long as the fox existed, it's gender would be argued.
What did it matter anyway? Couldn't they just love her anyway?
No... No they couldn't...
Well, they could, but Mangle knew they wouldn't.
"How're we gonna handle this? Take care of this?" Mangle asked, tears catching in her throat as she glanced up at the Endo-skeleton head once more.
"I don't think we can..." It sighed, closing it's eyes and whimpering.
Mangle sat in the darkness of the cove, hearing several screams and yelling from outside the cove.
Everyone was arguing, but some were actually trying to talk to her, to get her to let them in to comfort the fox.
But the anger and hate outweighed the kindness...
Mangle took a deep breath, standing to it's feet and wiping it's tears.
"I know how we can fix this..." The fox spoke up in a whimper, Endo looking up at her with knowing eyes.
"Then so be it..." It whispered back, it's voice filled with hopelessness and despair.
Mangle grabbed a hold of a rope, staring down at her reflection in the checkered floors for what she knew would be the last time.
The fox tied the rope around her neck, climbing to the top of the ceiling and tying it to a empty hook, normally used to hang party lights.
"Goodbye..." She whimpered, wiping her tears away and glancing at Endo as it squeezed it's eyes shut, bracing itself for what it knew was to come next.
Mangle let go of the ceiling and a loud crack echoed through the room.
The fox dangled from the ceiling.
It's eyes lifeless, it's body limp.
Mangle was gone... Mangle was dead.
