Assisting Romeo in Finding True Love
On my second quest I decided to help the love-stricken, absent-minded Romeo. He was after his true love, Juliet. Romeo had a few problems to deal with. Juliet's father would not allow her to see Romeo and opposed any marriage.
My first step in the quest was to talk to Juliet's father. It was very obvious he was not going to allow Juliet to see Romeo. I then proceeded upstairs to tell Juliet of Romeo's undying love. At this time, I also met Juliet's cousin, Phillipa, who is there to watch over Juliet. Juliet agreed that she longed for Romeo's love and wanted to leave her father's house.
I went back to the square, by the fountain, and found Romeo anxiously waiting, with flowers in his hand. I told him Juliet wanted to marry as well, but needed a plan to escape her father's house.
Romeo sent me the alter to discuss this with Father Lawerence. He was right in the middle of a sermon and was not happy I interrupted. I told him about how heart-broken Romeo was without his Juliet. He suggested using a legend to break Juliet free. He told me about a secret potion to use on Juliet. Juliet would swallow, she would appear dead, but really only sleeping. I asked where I could find this potion and he sent me on my way to the Apocrathy.
Once at the chemist's apocrathy, he told me that the sleeping potion consisted of a certain Cadavaberry. He did not have any available and sent me to the mine to find these pink berries. When I returned, he quickly whipped up the potion.
I went back to the square to give Romeo the potion. He directed me to take it to Juliet right away. I snuck by the father and up the stairs. I was encountered by Phillipa again; she informed me that she was part of the scheme to get Juliet out of her father's house. I gave Juliet the potion, she quickly fell to the ground appearing dead. Phillipa did a poor acting job of playing surprised that Juliet had just died in front of her. None the less, her father believed it and sent Juliet's body to the crypt to lay in peace.
I thought my quest was complete. I returned to Romeo to let him know of the good news. He was too scared to go to the crypt alone. I had to take him there myself. Upon arrival he had to be reminded that Juliet was only sleeping and not really dead. Phillipa joined us at the crypt. Romeo was very pleased by the looks of her. After all of this, he fell madly in love with Phillipa. My quest was then complete.
