ring ring* I hear the housephone ringing Downstairs, Which is unusual due to everyone in our house having iPhones we only really kept the housephone as an accessory to make the house look a bit more homely. As my legs start dragging me down stairs to the phone I go through all the people who could be calling at 7pm, they surly didn't want to talk to me because I'm a 15 year old girl and have an awful social life.

I have a small group of friends but that it's and it's not even like we're cool. We're the school nerds and I'm going through my 'kinda' emo faze right now so I'm just a depressed mess with social anxiety.

I just realised that I've arrived at the phone and it's seemed to have stopped ringing. 'Oh well, I missed it, I'll just tell mum when she gets back'. I start to walk away when *ring ring*. This time I'm only a few feet from the phone so there's no excuse for missing it. I edge closer starting to sweat, why? I'm not sure it's probably just a normal person, like a salesman or a wrong number. I pick up the phone...'...hello...?...' there's was silence '...um...hello...!?'

'Hello, is this Thea?' This scared because it's wasn't any of my friends and how did they know my name?i replied with a 'u hu' but I was fooling no one I was terrified.'Thea we have some bad news...it's your mother' ' what about my mother?' I ask quivering.

'Well there's been an accident and...' ' AND...' I accidentally interrupted but I hade to, the rest of my family had either left or had been killed, my mum was all I hade left. ' well she's been in an accident' I respond rapidly ' is she okay?!?' . 'She didn't quite make it...I'm so sorry for your loss' .

I can feel my eyes glaze over and the woman's voice enters my ears. 'No...no' i slam the phone down and run upstairs into my room.
