Broken Shadows

"I am soooooooo bored," sighed Beast Boy as he idly flicked through multiple channels on the huge television that seemed to dominate the living area of Titans Tower, spending only a few seconds on each program he came across in his seemingly eternal quest to find worth watching, "Seven hundred channels and not a single thing worth watching"

"Well maybe you should learn to read a book instead of rotting your brain away on that idiot box" replied the emotionless voice of Raven, her amethyst eyes briefly looking up the book she was reading to look directly at the back the green-skinned teenagers head.

"For your information I do know how to read," Frowned the green skinned teen as he glanced casually over his shoulder, "It's just you haven't written anything new in your diary for a few days now and…"

"Oh that was just dumb, even for you" interrupted Cyborg, not even bothering to look up from the magazine he was currently reading.

The all too familiar sound of cups and plates shattering into countless pieces filled the room, draining the colour from Beast Boys face as he jumped to his feet.

"You read my diary?" growled Raven as she slammed her book closed and glared daggers at, her eyes glowing black as dark power slowly engulfed her hands.

"Just the one time and it was totally by accident…," stammered Beast Boy as he slowly backed away from Raven, waving a small white flag he had quickly made from a hanky and pen he had discovered in his pocket, "…You see there I was minding my own business when all of a sudden…" He screamed as black energy engulfed and lifted him effortlessly into the air.

"Friend Raven if Beast Boy said it was an accident then surely he did not mean to read your glofnar" chirped Starfire as she floated beside her teammate, a look of child like happiness and worry etched across her face.

"Yep totally an accident" smiled Beast Boy as innocently as possible, praying she would believe him and not send him flying through the wall like last time.

Before Raven could even think about replying with the necessary force to send the helpless Beast Boy crashing through one of he many windows the entire Tower erupted with sound and light, causing her to momentarily lose her concentration and drop Beast boy to the ground like a tonne of bricks. Each of the Titans present instinctively looked towards the large television screen, waiting to see just what had tripped the alert systems of the Tower.

"What's the situation?" asked Robin as he entered the room, sweat still dripping from his hair as he wiped his face on the towel he had draped over his bare shoulders. He smiled briefly as his eyes met with Ravens, causing her to smile back before quickly breaking eye contact muttering something her breath as she carefull picked up her book and returned it to its resting place on the bookcase Cyborg had installed for her.

"Was your training session enjoyable Robin?" asked Starfire, trying her hardest not to look at the Titans leaders naked upper body. Something she found much harder than she had origianlly expected. Robin simply smiled in reply to her and continued oto wipe the sewat of his face and body, walking calmly towards Cyborg as he did so.

"Trouble" replied Cyborg as he typed a few command codes into the Titans mainframe computer, "looks like someone's decided o make a major withdrawal from the First national Bank"

"Then lets not keep them waiting" smiled Robin as he pulled the rest of his costume on and sprinted towards the door, "Titans go!"
