Jhudora and Illusen's Wish
Waiting in the forest deep
A faerie lies in dreamless sleep
Today's tasks have made her weary
In a place now so dreary
Defending the land in which she lives
Never taking – she only gives
Cheerful she may seem to you
I alone know the truth
I've seen her at night when she sleeps
Though without dreams she weeps and weeps
A child she seemed in my mind's eye
Hiding from her sister who resides in the sky
I watched and I waited only to see
What no one had thought could possibly be
A strong idoled faerie reduced to her tears
Trying to come to terms with her fears
A hint of sorrow filled my stone heart
I pushed it away and chose then to part
I returned to the one – "mistress" I called
She seemed to be either surprised or appalled
By the frailty her sister did show
To me, an invisible pet shadow
And so Mistress thought as she sat
Wondering what she could do with that
"Leave it alone" I said to she
Causing her to look down upon me
"Feeling remorse?" she asked with a sneer
I returned her gaze without any fears
She laughed then at that
And I smirked and I sat
"Your sister is weak
I advise not to seek
A war with her
For she's no longer there
She means you no harm
To leg or to arm"
I smiled with pride
And knew she needed time
I left Mistress her thoughts
And ran off to plot
"Both faeries do wish"
I told my scrying dish
And so here I am now
"Alive?" you ask "how?"
I granted their wish
They now live in bliss
False is their anger
I saved you from danger
